I do have to say i love the looks of the camaro but idk if it came down to either that or the challenger id prob go with the chally it just reminds me of the old ones so much and i love those. Id like to see one with the cuda stripes down the side that says 426

The Challenger definitely looks bad ass, but it is such a pig compared to both the Camaro SS and Mustang GT.

The Camaro is over a half second quicker in the quarter, and that is with a 3.45 rear end compared to the 3.91 in the Chally.

I'm sorry I looked at the new camaro in and out and the only cool thing about is the front. After that its a little down hill.

Camaro wont' stand a chance against this thing. Maybe the Hennessey HPE Camaro might. Comparing the Camaro to the Challenger on looks alone, I'd take the Chally any day of the week.
From a performance perspective, yeah, the Camaro is slightly faster but it also weighs ALOT less than the Chally SRT8. Car & Driver did a comparison of a Camaro 2SS vs a Mustang GT vs a Challenger R/T!! Come on guys, get the SRT8 against the 2SS and let's see where the muscle is!

Oh damn that is right I totally forgot that article compared the R/T.

I agree if they are gonna be taking the top dog Camaro, they should have taken the top dog Mustang and the SRT-8.

Probably just trying to get it close price wise.

I also agree the Challenger looks much much better.

yea i read that a while back. on looks the challenger for me. i think the Mustang GT was first base on overall performance.

I love! Digging the wheels, too.

Honestly, out the box the Camaro wins but it's so damn ugly from every angle!
Chally wins 1st for overall greatness and no, a GT Mustang can't beat it, who said that it could?

they did a test of the SS camaro and SRT8....the Chally was like $15K more and less performance

Yeah it's more of a boat, too... but it's still not convincing me I'd probably end up getting a r/t if I ever got one.

Bingo! Those who are old enough to remember the pony wars understand that hp/$ was a major driving force behind the phenomenon. I kid could save enough money to buy a muscle car rather quickly and be driving something that, while a little rough around the edges, would be right up there with the fastest cars available at the time.

Take one of the top production mustangs available today (super snake or shelby KR) and both chevy and dodge are still chasing the original pony car! :D
