Let's talk. I have a 2008 VW R32, I know at least one other person on this forum has one. I would like to put in the Haldex, a CAI and a tune.

Sorry to disappoint, but mine's a man's car, you know, rear wheel drive turbo, Jap crap n all that. lol Quick but :D In all seriousness, I do quite like the R32 Golf, heck, even the Gti is a nice thing to drive ;)

I have an 06 Passat VR6 4mo. Im not sure what you mean by the Haldex ( i know its the awd system) and im looking to do the intake as well.. we have similar parts (with the exception of my 2 extra doors and trunk LOL

The Haldex is for AWD. It pushes power where needed in a sense. Just makes the car that much funner to drive!!!!
Thanks for the compliments guys!!

I like it cause it has the center exhaust like in the jeep SRT8 :D.

I love that they both have center mount dual exhaust...I think they look great sitting next to each other! I think paddle shifters, with a DSG system in our Jeeps would be phenomenal!!!! I guess we can dream Mario!!!;)

Ahhh the R32, what a beautiful ride.... Check out VWvortex for info on mods....
Imo though, its fine the way it is, unless you boost it ;)
i had my 2000GTI VR6 for 7 years, and regret every day that passes since i traded it in. i did get a kickass Speed3 but there's something about VW's, and the fact mine had a new engine, 68k, and was paid for. Timing chain broke under warranty and VW replaced it...

LOL...bought the Jeep in California (where I am originally from), so even though California has a front plate law, NY doesn't know that and I don't put one on. Bought the VW in NY where I am stationed...and spend tons of time in CT with my fiance...does that help a little, LOL!!!
Good lady's car :p

Man, you should have kept it, LOL! Yeah, the R32 is pretty fantastic just the way it is, that is why I don't plan on doing too much to it. I went to VWvortex...and didn't like it. I know that the VW crowd is serious about there cars, and so am I, but they never really accepted me, so I didn't stick around!

Hey Matt what MOS are you? Guessing infantry type given the CIB in the sig. g10th mountain? are you stateside or over in the sand box.
I used to be Army about 4 years ago.. I was a 15 series, previously 68 series.... Aviation...
Served almost 9 years and got tired of the politics... Or maybe i just wasn't ready to be bossed around my whole life lol
As for VWVORTEX, you have to get around the influx of WANNABE VW enthusists and the children on the board... the other thing is once you go to a GTG or two, people will calm down... I always just gave back smartass comments.. nearly got me banned twice lol .

I was just going to say... I know there are some after market companies that make paddle shifters for cars that have the auto-stick feature.

I've had a few Vdubs and joined the Vortex. A lot of the guys lived in the Detroit area and would meet up often. Those guys are ass-hats! Each and every one.

11B all the way, 15+ years! I just have over four years to finish up, then I will be retiring!!! I have two months left here in Afghanistan before heading back to Drum before PCSing to Ft Sam Houston, TX!

Love VWs, i had a VR6 corrado a few years ago. Absolutely loved it until some old guy decided to turn into me and total it. I like the MKV R32s but i always thought they were over priced with the base starting at what 32k?. I'v always preferred the MKIV R32s though

Corrado's are great cars, love em!!! I agree, the R32 is a little overpriced, but those that buy it think they are worth it.
Okay, like I said yesterday, I will post up some more VW pictures! The first group is just to show the small following of V-Dub owners in Upstate NY.

I hear you, I do like the MK IV body style...had a lot of class to it!
although they look nice, I still love the 04-05 GLI better than the R32's
It's definitely a preference...for those that aren't hatchback fans, the GLI is more a car for them. Although, the fronts look almost the exact same!

Only with the mk 4..... i dont like the newer GLI cause it looks like a Corolla..... with the new body style, i'd go with the GTI's.

i am 105425429859248% with you on that one ... i hate the body style after 04' the '05 up look unsporty and more like a luxury car ...
trust me i've got '03 vr6 :)
