Okay, so most of you might not like this because it's not a Jeep. BUT, I hope you enjoy what will soon be on my CRV by Spring Break.
I will soon be getting rid of my 99 WJ Laredo sometime late this month or next month. My grandpa will be car shopping this weekend so he can give me his Honda. He lives in Florida, so getting it to me will be either ME driving half way, flying down there, or he ships the car, which would cost more.
Okay, so heres what my Vehicle exactly look like.

I will be tranfering my Memphis side speakers and subwoofer into the Honda as well. :) yay!

The first modification I will be doing is the wheels.
I know most of you aren't into big rims, but this is whats going down.
24x9.5 Dub Venom rims. Wrapped in Toyo Proxes 4 (275/25/24).
These rims are in the process of being made. Haven't been released yet for another 3 weeks. They have the correct bolt pattern and offset that I need too.

My other mod will be a nice Muffler, either Flowmaster or Borla.
Im also going to be getting custom taillights tinted.
The same color as my vehicle tinted on my taillights by www.jonstintedtails.com (http://www.jonstintedtails.com) Does EXCELLENT WORK! :)
Heres a picture of someone who has 24x10 on his 2007 Honda CR-V EXL, same color as mine! He had no lifting involved, no cutting. All stock.

Irf put Andrew on your ignore list like I just did. J/k bro. The CR-V looks good to me and for the price it can't be beat. Does it have vtec?
I didn't think the wheel base was that big to fit 24's.

Yes, it has V-Tec
l4 2.4L 166HP.
Well, i'm taking this opportunity.
I know right? I talked to the guy who has 24's on and he says they fit just right. Any bigger and they would rub. My rims will be smaller on the width, which should give me more room to play with.

Ditching the Jeep for a crv? :fryingpan:.
But if that's what you are going to do and if its free... i suppose so. Anyhow, whenever that happens and you get rims, ill still be looking forward to seeing pictures of the end result.

I registered on this Honda forums. They all big dickheads.
But here, doesn't matter what you have for a ride, or what you post. You all give good feedback and help a brotha out! haha.

Actually, the 07 Honda CR-V they do have another version.
CDTi EXECUTIVE DIESEL TURBO.
Which I just searched.
Mine will have 166 HP. Got to mention its lighter than a WJ. So better speed. Theres no Cold Air Intake for it yet. Hoping to find one soon! lol. Unless theres a brand that makes one for the 07 Honda CRV.

Sad to hear you're getting rid of the Jeep, but congrats on getting a new ride. It's always exciting, new possibilities. I don't know about better speed though.

Well, I think it will still have good pickup. Its a 4 cylindar, but it's a Honda. :)
My brother has the 2008 Honda Accord and it has 177 Horsepower. 10 Horsepower more than the CR-V. His car kicks ASS.
Its most likely going to have better speed than my WJ which only goes to 120 MPH.
1999 WJ Laredo l6 4.0L = 195 Horsepower.
-Weight: 5900 lbs
2007 Honda CR-V l4 2.4L = 166 Horsepower.
-Weight: 4,560 lbs
29 Horsepower difference.
Gotta include the Honda is lighter weight.
Which you think would win?
And correct me if i'm wrong with the WJ weight. I searched it. lol.

I plan on selling my Jeep, and getting those new rims and tires for $3800.
Selling the 22x9.5 Velocity 725 rims on here for 1500$ I got them this summer.
Just got notification from my grandpa. Hes buying his subaru this saturday and shipping the Honda CR-V to me from Florida to Michigan. ha.

That thing is gonna look crazy with 24's. I thought your wj had a v8, they're about even going by wjjeeps.com the 4.0 does 0-60 in around 10 seconds, which is what the crv does. But you'll certainly save moolah on gas money!
Andrew
11-07-2009, 08:36 AM
I have the wj l6 4.0. But yeah, it will be unique having a crv on 24s. I cant wait! The speed should be the same! Thanks man. :)

I don't know about all that with 24s on it. Lol. It doesn't all have to do with power but also with transmission gear ratio. Don't forget to calibrate the speedometer with the new huge wheels. Lol.

I saw a CRV at my school also. It's like a Maroon Color. All the black panels were painted to match the body color. Looks nice except for the ugly wheels it's got. LOL. The wheels are a 3 spoke in pink in the inner spokes.

Just did a quick search and it looks like the '07 Honda CR-V shoots through the 1/4 mile in 17.1 seconds at a street blazing 81 MPH compared to the Jeep Laredo's 16.8. Lol.

So thats good? Honda crv vs wj? :)
I really think with 24s wont be an issue. You underestimate a 4 cylinder. heh. Seen it done.

I know I asked this before, but I don't remember if I got an answer. How much are you asking for your WJ?
Andrew

I would like $3,000.00 but I doubt that's possible. You gold put GOLD on the ****ing jeep and it still be worth the regular price.
