Dad's old 996 911

Man, do I miss this thing. Can't remember the year (I wanna say 03 or 04) Porsche 911 Carrera S, 6sp., aero kit, 19" wheels (wheels + tires = $8000 :eek: ), suspension, full carbon fiber interior from the factory, factory hardtop.

She was a bute and a blast to drive. He actually had a 2007 911 as well, 6sp., triple black, factory 19's - that one was pretty cool in that you could electronically open the baffles in the muffler ~ freakin' loud!! He got rid of the 996 to make room in the garage for my mothers car, then got rid of the 997 because it was too "feminin" (I agreed). He had a down payment on an '08 triple black 997 twin turbo, but got a boat instead and never got another "weekend" car, lol. He still says he wants a Murcialago, but I know that's not going to happen. I was at least able to rev-up a Carrera GT at the dealership when he was making his down payment, lol, that was incredible!

Thanks Benno! I can't remember the name of the color, but I remember him saying it was a pretty rare color for the 911.

I'm not a fan on the 'verts either... this thing looked so sick with the hardtop on! I wish I had pics of it :mad:

Well, he's thinking about getting another 911.

He's driving down tomorrow to check it out.

Is it me or does this thing look like shit...? The chrome plated wheel look, gaudy GT spoiler, and 2" drop just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't look tasteful AT ALL!

I'm trying to talk him out of it, but he likes it. They have 2 other turbos there, so maybe one of them (better looking) will catch his eye. I may just have to go with him tomorrow to make sure he doesn't fawk this up, LOL.
