We have undergone extensive durability testing with this new feature to make sure it has the capability and durability of a Jeep. We have learned from other (Competition) systems and have done some unique things with our system. For example our air lines are inside the vehicle for durability.

We use internal clutch pack/motors in both the T-case and ELSD rear differential to transfer torque. This has proven to be more refined and controllable with electronics/software. The technology is proven and more efficient.

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

More a suggestion than a query, but could future front consoles be flared inward slightly where taller drivers' knees go? Right now, it's a bit cramped during long trips, when it helps to shift position. I might add that aside from this, the GC drivers' zone, even with sunroof, is comfortable both for me at 6'4" and my wife at 5'2", so somebody greased their slide rule nicely.

Too, recall the luxury leather seat option ca. 1994? We have these, and again on long trips they are a gift from the gods. Jeep salesmen who have tried ours light up, too.

Any thought to reviving these, either as an option and/or as standard in the Overland and such?

The cooling system was improved over the vehicle history. There are basically three main technical levers, HVAC capacity, blower motor size, and duct routing/size There is no easy way to exchange or update HVAC system parts between the tow model years.

Do the fog lights in the wk2 come with hid lights standard? There has been talk but I don't think that question was answered

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

Any sure fire fix for the shudder/rumble in my 11 overland? there was a tsb, but the update done at the dealer didnt fix.

Why were first group of overlands built without quadralift, and im guessing it would be impossible to add after the fact, yes? no?

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

There was a thread here that mentioned that roof racks literally being ripped up and off due to the mounting - ie roof rack must been creating lift and lifting off the roof. There have been other users here that have reported this being a problem as well. Do you have any insight in this? Here is the thread if you have a moment to check it out - CAUTION!! WK factory Roof Racks

Something like this I think would warrant a TSB to prevent damage to the jeep and to others if the rack and contents were to be take off into traffic.
