Is there some sort of format required on the USB drive that is transferring music files over, like FAT or NTFS?

If you evaluate similar competition (Mercedes, BMW, Toyota...), the mass density is basically the same; structural improvements for worldwide requirements and significant standard features added some weight for 2011. Base curb weight of 4650 4x4 V6 to over 5000 lbs for V8 loaded.

Thanks for your patience, we have strong demand for Overlands. Please ask the dealer to make sure that they have identified your new Jeep as a "Sold Order" so that we can expidite shipping.

Why were gerotor pumps available in 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee abandoned for present transfer case (Quadra Track II) and use of brakes to shift power to wheels with traction in 2011 Overland with 3.6 L engine?

I noticed this was done with the LX as well, yet some of the other new models have new codes.

When we were DaimlerChrysler, there was a plan to maintain all codes and the WK was the first to try. We won't be doing it again.

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

2011 Quadra-Drive II

The 2011 Quadra-Drive II system is advertized on Jeep.com as having an ELSD on both the rear and front axles. Also, the 2011 dealer on-line parts manual lists a part# (68060207AA) for a 2011 front ELSD. Yet, current dealer documents and other on-line sources show only a rear ELSD for the 2011 Quadra-Drive II system. No front differential of any kind is mentioned.
  1. Is information about the front axle “suppressed” because of an impending configuration change?
  2. What front differential is currently being delivered with the 2011 Quadra-Drive II system? Will that be permanent for the 2011 model year?
  3. Is the 2011 rear ELSD different from the 2010 unit? If so, what type is it (magnetic, hydraulic or pneumatic), and who makes it?
  4. Is there any configuration change planned for the 2011 Quadra-Drive II system?

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

I own a 99 WJ Grand Limited 4.7 and my buddy owns a 04 WJ Jeep Grand Limited. His air condition blower moves a lot more air (cfm's) than mine. I have heard this was an upgrade made to the 02 models. There are many of us with 99 models who would like to know what were the changes to increase the airflow out the ductwork so summer will be more comfortable. Thank you for your time.

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

Out of curiosity, are the lug nuts on the new WK the same as the ones on the WJ? (plastic covers over the nut)

Re: 9/8/10 Jeep engineers chat

A source at Avi – Vls told me the current batch of GC’s just got back from “repair” and that “they all went out but were back now” can you tell me what the repairs were? Were they having TSBs applied or is there something else we should know?
