Talking Cooling fan overworking

Question:

Cooling fan on my 3ltr Diesel 2015 JGC continuously runs like crazy shortly after start up. Temp gauge shows temperature normal.

Anyone else with similar issue.

Regards,

Re: Cooling fan overworking

Had the fans run at full speed on 3 occasions, in cooler weather. But after 100kmh run. Restarted at lights and back to normal. All happened after 10,000km service. 3ltr diesel. Interested in this thread, otherwise if it becomes more than just a Jeep thing I guess I'll be taking back to the dealer.

Red face Re: Cooling fan overworking

Hello redjgc:

Same thing here in the mild/cooler weather with the fan. It stops after a while then it goes back to normal.
I'll be contacting the dealer first thing Monday morning to get it rectified. Purchased the vehicle in late May this year with only 57kms on the clock and out of the showroom so, there's no reason for them to dispute it and then putting it through their starscan/computer diagnostics to find the error. More than likely a computer recalibration needed to properly activate the fan according to the right conditions etc.
