02 oxygen sensor diagram/location P0133 P0420

Hi guys,

Just got a trouble code P0420 and P0133. It point to 02 Sensor circuit slow response, bank 1 sensor 1. Bought 4 replacement sensor and need help with location of the sensor. Is there a diagram available somewhere? Help please.

Cheers

If it's a 3.6l engine, B1/S1 is upstream on the passenger side.
If it's a 5.7 engine, it's upstream on the driver side.

Re: 02 oxygen sensor diagram/location P0133 P0420

Sorry for the late reply....
That's entirely up to you. Personally, I'd replace the faulty one and be done with it if/untill another decides to fail. Not sure which brand sensor you bought, but I tend to stay away from Bosch sensors. From personal experience, the sensor tips tend to be tuned to retard the sensors performance.

thank you Ratchet, was told by the Mechanic that it will take at least 4 hours to replace bank1 sensor 1. Since it's a big job, he suggested changing the rest. Somehow I don't feel good about the Mechanic.

Yeah, your mechanic is a bit high on labor. Ha.

What engine do you have?

its a 3.6L V6 Limited AWD RHD.

Assuming it's V6 upstream left, 1.0 Labour is equivalent to 60min labour?

Yes, This is the standard labor guide we use here in the states. NONE of the oxygen sensors on WK2's are hard to replace. On most, the hardest part is getting access to the connector to unplug it.
