Hey guys,
So here's what's going on. I bring my '12 Overland in for warranty work to Rancho Jeep in San Diego. The sun roof needed replacing as it wouldn't open or close properly and finally got stuck open. After it taking them over a month to get all the parts in for the TOTAL replacement… they complete it 2 weeks later. The morning I'm supposed to go in and pick it up, it mysteriously won't start. Mind you, there were ZERO starting issues prior. First the EVIC shows low fob battery. They change the battery. Won't start. Then they reprogram a new fob. Won't start. They reach out to the factory who instructs them to replace the remote start module. Won't start. They then instruct them to replace the push button start module. Won't start. It WILL however start via remote key fob, just not from the start button. So it's still sitting there. It's been almost a month and I'm beyond livid. They're now waiting to hear back from the factory "design" team as to next steps. Anyone have any thoughts or solutions for the geniuses over there? I really find it hard to believe that something wasn't accidentally "done" to my vehicle why under their care… it's too strange of a coincidence. Fortunately I have a lifetime warranty that covers a rental. The ONLY saving grace at this point.
Thanks,
B
