I have searched for this issue, and realize that it has been addressed to some extent, but with no resolution. Before I return to dealer, I wanted reassurance in regards to root cause, to verify that I have not overlooked any detail
At about 4700 miles, a single, centralized LED bulb in my '14 Overland passenger headlight surround suddenly turned purple. Subsequently, I had the dealership replace the headlight assembly under warranty.
At 8000 miles, the exact LED position
turned purple, but in my driver side headlight surround.
Again, the dealership respected warranty and replaced my opposing headlight assembly.
To my dismay, at approximately 15000 miles, the equivalent LED position turned purple once again
in what is now my replacement passenger side assembly. I had begun to wonder if the root cause was not the headlight, but rather power supply for example. It is really odd that the same exact LED position
has now discolored on three headlight assemblies in one vehicle (See Images Depicted Current State Condition).
Should I visit the dealership for a third time? Should I contact Jeep? Do the electrical experts believe this is bulb related or voltage related? Why would an LED change color suddenly after being white for some time?
