'14 Rear End Shimmy

I have a 2014 V6 Limited w/ORA2. I have been running Michelin LTX MS2's on it since day two. 12.5K miles on it.

I have noticed, and at times it seems to be getting worse, that when I go over a series of small potholes or bumps, that the rear end seems to shimmy or slide to the right. It seems capable of happening at almost any speed, but really noticed the other day at highway speed, which was a little disconcerting. The ride and and sound of the truck going over bumps at times seem to be rougher and louder. Almost as if the "shocks" are bottoming out. It then seems back to normal, and then rougher again. No problems with QL so far, as much as I can tell. I keep tire pressure around 39-40.

I am coming from a 2007 Chevy Tahoe, and two Ford Explorers and a Chevy S-10 blazer before that, and have never noticed quite this amount of rear end movement in the same conditions.

Just wondering if this is somewhat normal for the WK2 and just have to get used to it, or if there is something I should have the dealer look for when I take it in later this month for the first time. Getting updates done.

Thanks in advance.

I have OA2 and Michelin LTX ATs, and have no issues with any sensation of axle hop in the rear.

I used to drive a Tundra that hopped pretty bad on off camber bumps (typical of live axle rear ends), so I think I know what your are describing.

Your jeep has fully independent suspension and shouldn't do this... something does not sound right. Definitely have them look at it as soon as possible.
