Have a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Hemi, Quadra Drive II, 18K miles. Earlier in the week after starting the Jeep and driving away it went in 4WLow on its own. Had a difficult time going back to 4WH. After several attempts went to 4WDH. Since then the steering is very tight. Reminds me of my old 2002 when put in 4WDH from 2 WD. The dealer checked out and found nothing wrong. The steering is very tight and it defiantly feels significantly different from when it went into 4WL on its own earlier in the week. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

So are you saying the drive train is binding up on turns. If so the transfer case may be stuck in 4WD for some reason, but I don't know why the dealer could miss that.

Is it a Quadra Drive II or Quadra Trac II. QTII would have 2WD, 4WD auto, and Lo modes where QDII would have select terain, i.e mud, sport, normal, rock type selections..

They both use the same transfer case, but have different computer programming. QD has a limited slip rear. Perhaps the early builds were different, I dunno. But do you have a 2WD position? What happens when you select it?

For some reason the computer may be thinking you have a slipping tire, are the tires all the same?
