2011 Jeep GC shutter on acceleration

Good morning, my extended CPO is about to run out and the Jeep has just recently started to experience a noticeable shutter on acceleration. It is a 2011 V6 with 99,600 on it.

To further explain every once in a while under fairly hard acceleration like taking a left onto a busy road there is a shutter for a couple of seconds. The car continues to accelerate and the shutter will cease but it has happened a couple of times recently. Not sure if it is only when turning. Definitely feels like something in the drivetrain.

Any ideas?

thanks

rob

If you feel it's a big enough concern, I'd recommend bringing the vehicle to a dealer. Let me know if you need further assistance establishing an appointment. - Kevin T, Social Connect Team

Sounds like a fuel pump issue but could be a slew of things going bad.. When was the last time you changed plugs? Could be ignition issues or fuel issues.. They go hand and hand.. Coils and spark plugs can be checked yourself.. Just like everything in life it's a process of eliminations..

I had/have a similar issue: knocking/bumping at hard acceleration. I had rough shifts as well. The dealer replaced the transfer case as the clutch was worn (60k km). Resolved the problem completely. Now 10k further problems seem to be returning. Will go to the dealer next week.

I have felt that 3 times. Each time it was the transmission. I'm on #4.
