This thread is for any TSB released for the 2011+ Jeep Grand Cherokee. Please keep the chatter to a minimum in this thread. You are more than welcome to start a discussion thread for each TSB released.

Thanks to Milous and www.wk2jeeps.com for the outstanding info!

I'm not sure that's true. TSBs are usually only handled when customers complain about the problem. For instance, there was a TSB for my truck, the fix for which was to replace the 3-leaf leaf spring packs with stiffer 4-leaf packs, replace all the oem shocks with better bilstein ones, and to perform a four wheel alignment. After that TSB came out, new trucks did not include the fix and dealers sure weren't performing it. The fix would only be performed if you could prove to the dealer that the truck could not handle the posted payload capacity and that it had a "rough ride when loaded." That's a different company than Chrysler, I know, but I don't think any car company is obligated to perform TSBs. Now if Chrysler wants to be sure to take care of them before the cars are delivered, then that would look great on them and I applaud them.

this is what the Lexus dealer told me.....

also....I believe before Robert Palmer could take delivery of hi 2010 SRT...they had to do a TSB on the dash, airbag or something????

I believe that was for Recall J33 "Instrument Panel Top Cover" which had an issue related to the passenger air bag.

The dealer site provides a notice for unperformed recalls and Rapid Response Transmittals when a vehicle VIN is brought up for service/warranty work. TSB's are not listed on the report as they are typically not "urgent" or safety related. There are dealers who will check for applicable TSB's before a vehicle is delivered to the customer. It's in their best interest as they get paid for fixing TSB issues while the vehicle is under warranty.

very slight rumble persists. Didnt notice until this morning. Have you tried sport mode? Im going to switch to sport mode on my next drive to see. It only seems to happen during hard driving for me or while going around a sharp curve. It seems like the update made a difference though. i can give better feedback after a few days i think.

Re: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee TSB's(technical service bulletins)

This is a great resource for Jeep owners. We have a 2011 Laredo with the X-package and are experiencing electrical issues mostly centered around the screen for the radio/navigation system: ipod starts streaming very fast at random times, clock runs fast, interior light dims then brightens, driver side heated seat cuts off after 15 minutes (passenger side does not); rear window would not go up from driver side controls.

Dealer kept the Jeep two days said he could not duplicate the issues so there is nothing wrong? Anyone else experiencing problems like this? Can't they run a diagnostic test on electrical?

Any help is appreciated.

As far as ipod starts streaming fast - there is a known issue that possibly will be fixed in the upcoming software upgrade for 430[N] radio.

I think someone posted about heated seat too, just search the forum.

I also have Laredo X and don't experience the rest of the issues you are describing. About heated seats - for me it gets too hot in 2 minutes and I have to power it off. I don't own an iPod.

I saw on another site (don't know if I can reference the site) that a TSB came out for the hard shift for the 2012. I definitely experience this and the TSB even says it occurs in ambient heat around the transmission. The TSB service seems to be complex. Not sure I want the service department tearing apart my transmission/rear end. Anyone have this work done?

Its TSB #21-010-12. Thanks

This is a thread here about it: Transmission clunks when shifting to park - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum. I have this problem and had it in for service and showed them the TSB. They just did some flash updates and fixed nothing, then never called me back. I'm still upset about it. This was 2 weeks ago. I just e-mailed my salesman about it.

All,
I am looking at a used 2011 Overland model and looking at the number of TSBs on the 2011 model, I may decide to pass. It looks like the old saying 'never buy the first year of a car model' is true in this case. Anyone having multiple issues on their 2011 models?
Thanks
JM

Oh yes.
Had starter and water pump fail before 60K. Failed brakes covered under Brake Booster recall. Blend door gear for climate control I fixed myself.
Now currently dealing with lifter cam failure I just started thread on. Looks as if dealer will cover under lifetime powertrain possible engine replacement at 150K. Thank god. Leaving me to deal with failing rack and pinion.

My 96 GC, went 340K and never had major issues. My 2011 has been exactly the opposite stranding me multiple times.
I love my GC, but am losing my faith fast as a driver for almost 25 years.

Doesn't seem to be a significant difference 2011-2013 although 2011s built later than Jan 2011 should have most of the TSBs incorporated from the factory. You, or a dealer, can run the VIN and see which ones have been applied. Usually a TSB is not applied unless the customer expressed a complaint.

I think someone posted this before, but Jeep NZ has a facility on their web site that allows owners to search recalls for themselves.

Here is a link :

Recalls | Jeep New Zealand

I did suggest to Jeep Aus that they should have a similar ability....I doubt they ever will....

I am not able to download any TSB's from the wk2jeeps.com website. I have done it previously (months ago), but not now for some reason.
Does anyone have, or can direct me to an alternate location for, the following TSB's?:
08-049-13g (Radio enhancements)
21-011-13 Flash for transmission shift
09-004-13 Engine oil filter service
Thanks,
Russell

I wish you luck. Long gone are days when one could buy a factory service manual from a dealer. Now they regard it as their own intellectual property and they desperately don't want you to have it. Your best bet would be to hope a third party service manual publisher will have produced one by now.
