Re: 2011 Laredo Hatch Sticker is STUCK on

The stickers that have been on for a while are hard to get off. I took mine off at the dealership the day I picked it up and it peeled off very easily. The vehicle had just been built a few weeks earlier. If you are picking up a new GC that has been on the lot, try to peel the sticker off while you are still at the dealer. If it won't come off, have them remove it before you drive away. Some members here have scratched the trim while trying to remove the sticker.

Fingernail and windex (or 'other' lubricant) - what a PITA it was to take off. Could have bitched at the dealer to do it, but they would have had some 17yr old do it and scratch the hell out of it.

Thanks for the tip on the sun visor!
Same subject, different car. I never have bought a car with a sticker on it...I tell the sales people before they do the deal... one dealer said they could not remove the label...corporate policy...I went to another dealer.
On an 86 Tbird, they knew and aggred to no sticker... they had there kid remove the sticker and he put a big scratch in it. I told the dealer get another car..he said no, that he would paint that one... i went to another dealer.

Re: 2011 Laredo Hatch Sticker is STUCK on

You can remove sticky residue from surfaces with tape. Take a piece of tape and dab at the residue with it. Just keep dabbing at it, over and over. A twisting motion helps sometimes.

Of course, this isn't very effective when done with with painter's tape. I always try this before resorting to a solvent like Goo Gone, WD-40, alcohol or acetone.

Oh, and when ordering a car from a dealership, I always explicitly tell them to not affix any dealership stickers or badges to the car, too.
