Re: 2011 Overland - Check Engine light

So this is my first post to the Jeepgarage, but I think its very relavent in this post. So I've got an 2011 WK2 and love it. Last week the check engine light came on and I took it to my local mechanic (also the same guy that does my oil changes), he checked the code and up popped Cam sensor # 1 and Cam to Crank sensor. since its still under warranty I took to a dealership.

The dealership did there checks and said the oil being used set off the sensors. They were confident in an oil change fixing the porblem. Several hours later I recieve a call from the dealership again. They advised after the change the light didn't go away and upon further check they found a bad oil relay switch(not sure if thats exactly what they said) and a bad PCM.

I was like holy friggin crap. The dealer said the oil was the root cause of this problem. not sure if thats really accurate but ok. I get it back today we'll see if this does the trick. Thank God for the warranty.
