2011 WK2 CEL Mystery
My 2011 WK2 (3.6L) had the cylinder 6 misfire issue, so the dealer replaced that head this spring. Less than 2000 miles later I get the CEL again and similar, rough-running characteristics. Pull the codes, and this time I get P0303, P0203, P0300 (seems cylinder 3 related). Issue is intermittent, and will last between that drive cycle, and 3-4 days.
Took a day off and spent it at the dealer. Almost 6 hours and $125 later they tell me they can't replicate it, or trace it. Of course issue seemed to resolve itself for the dealer, but 30 miles later, driving home, I get the same CEL and symptoms.
I've since run 2 tanks of 91 octane fuel, and a bottle of injector cleaner through the engine, but issue continues (I didn't think a fix would be that easy, but hey, you gotta try).
Anyone have ideas on solutions I can try? I'm not opposed to replacing that fuel injector if necessary, but would like to hear a success story. Hoping it isn't the head on that side.
