2011 wk2 radiator removal

I have found videos about removal of condenser (MotorCity guy on youtube), but not for radiator. I got the fan shroud removed and have plenty of room to remove the radiator, but it seems I need to remove the upper radiator support or drop the lower (if possible). Has anyone done this? Do I really have to go through all the work to remove bumper cover, grille, etc just to remove the upper radiator support??? PITA!

Thanks Josh,

I think you are confirming, YES, you have to remove the bumper cover, grille, etc so you can remove the upper radiator support, correct??

Thanks for clarifying!

Re: 2011 wk2 radiator removal

Ok, finishing up the job. I had to remove the bumper cover, grill and remove bolts from upper radiator support in order to move it and release the radiator. I did not have to remove upper rad support completely. Slow going as it was my first time, but not that bad.

I would recommend taking pics so you have record of what bolts go where. Some on my 2011 Grand Cherokee (5.7) were silver and some black and it took me a while to make sure I had everything assembled correctly.

Replaced serpentine belt and cleaned throttle body while I had everything apart
