2012 Grand Cherokee 3.6l won't start

I been having this issue for the past week where my can't wont start with the control. Also it hasn't been starting when I go into the car and press the push start. It makes a weird sound but won't start. We eventually get it started but takes along time and it has become a big pain in the ass. Has anyone else experience this issue? I have read people having similar issue and it ended up being TIPM, I don't know what that is but I know it's around 1100 or 1500 to fix. That's bad for me because my jeep ain't under warranty. Any recalls out there for this?

Yeah that's what I been hearing today that I could get the battery checked first before taking it in and paying about $130 to get it diagnosed. Didn't have time today but will definitely take it into an autozone tomorrow to get it tested. Not to sure how long batteries last but just seemed too soon to have gone out but still hope it's that instead of shelling out about a grand to get the TIPM issue fixed. Will update tomorrow

Took the battery to Autozone and the battery was completely fine. Set up the appointment at the dealer for tomorrow and I'm guessing I would be about a $1000 if it's the TIPM issue. So bummed

Took it to the dealer and they said It was an issue with the fuel pump. They installed a fuel pump relay total was $283. Glad it wasn't the TIPM issue which looks to be over a grand but still bummed that I had to come out of pocket when my car is only about 2 years old. Relieved to have it fixed though, it was a major pain in the ass.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee 3.6l won't start

Wow that's awesome I hope mine will be the same thing and not more
I actually just got back from dropping my car off at the dealership and they will look at my blend door problem my passenger window not working and the starting issue so I hope it's not an arm and leg at the end

Good thing I know they guy in service so he has his own outside shop where he will take a look at my jeep so hopefully it won't be that bad

Why was this problem not covered under warranty?

I'm having the same issue with my 2011 5.7 now. Won't start. Its trying to turn over but won't and when it does it dies after a few seconds.
