Exclamation 2012 WK2 Limited Headliner Droop

Purchased new GC limited.

prior to driving off lot after purchase, I noticed the headliner drooping in near the moonroof (i have a single moon roof). there is a large gap, and goes up and down when pushed. Also the rear drivers side grab handle is loose not screwed to anything, when pulling on handle the headliner moves down even further. It is easy to see the headliner is not level from passenger side to drivers side. It is sagging bad

Anyone have this issue??? My dealer is working on it, but due to corporate policy regarding the headliners they are taking their time, many photos and now two trips to the dealer. I feel like i will have to have it replaced, and wonder how much damage they will do to other panels during the work.

Ripping apart a 2012 with 250 miles on it seems stupid, and surely will damage something else. I think I will read up on the lemon law legal terms and really push the issue.

Re: 2012 WK2 Limited Headliner Droop

Ouch, that's a bummer!

Sounds like more of a MFG defect than a lemon. I hope they work it out to your FULL satisfaction.

Re: 2012 WK2 Limited Headliner Droop

It is a JEEP defect, not a dealer defect. The only defect is the guy from the dealer who missed the POS headliner during his prep after it came off of the semi.

I plan on getting satisfied, my father-n-law works in the service dept. and I will be satisfied, by hook or by crook.

It sucks, salesman is like "we'll take care of it" but the reality is multiple trips, ripped apart, shoved back together, etc....

I it gets fixed soon, just sucks to see the "New Jeep Image" being dedicated to quality, forgetting screws, and crap hanging like some old 1970 cloth headliner
