Been doing it this way since I picked it up. It is getting old at every stop to the store, game, work etc...

If it lowered automatically after putting it in park, wouldn't sitting there waiting get old also? Since I don't use it, I'm just guessing.

Yes and no. Sometimes I take a few seconds to get out after a stop for various reasons and other times I get out after the vehicle is put into park with in a few seconds. In the latter case the vehicle would not have finished lowering all the way, since once a door is opened it stops raising/lowering. However it will commence when the door is shut making ready for re-entry which for me, is needed more than exiting.

Thanks. I didn't know it would continue once the door was closed.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

Personally, I'm glad it's not automatic. The front cowl on every vehicle I've owned has been gashed by parking lot bumpers. I wouldn't want my Jeep to lower itself on top of one of those.

it was supposed to be a on/off feature but i think the latest version of OM doesn't have the feature, so looks like they fixed by saying there is no such feature!

I don't think it's a big deal going off when you enter the car, since you are about to turn the engine on in 10 secs. That doesn't make the remote start useless...

What's the big deal about that? I think that they can simply say that's the way it works and nothing will change... since there isn't a real thing to fix.
unfortunately, this is not my problem. when i use the remote start, the fan does not turn on at all, and the worst part is, if i then push the run button, it still doesn't come on and i can not get to turn on at all. it says its on, but the fan does not blow at all, it doesn't matter if it switch it to auto or if it's on manual. i have to shut the jeep off and restart it manually to get it to turn on. that can't be normal, and the worst part is, it doesn't look like anybody's got theirs fixed yet

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

Bertball, that is same problem I have on mine. I did take it for the service department to look at it. They did confirm mine wasn't right as others on the lot work fine. A STAR case was opened on it. The chryco tech stated a fix for this issue was targeted for release mid-July. It is is a software deal. Why some work and other don't is a mystery. Mine came from the factory with the latest Uconnect code as well, the .15 version. I guess we need to be patient.

It is still in the manual.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

yes, it does suck, but i know others have way worse problems with jeeps. i've only had mine 2 days, and after 500 miles i'm going to give a detailed review of it. i guess i wont even use the remote start until the july fix comes out. hopefully that takes care of it

I just downloaded the latest manual. Page 377 still says that when you select sand mode the vehicle will raise to ORI. Mine did until the day my dash lit up with all the warning lights. The report my dealer got back from Jeep said that snow and sand mode both default to normal driving height.

Go figure.

3000 mile report. This is one of the issues I took in for my first oil change. Mine works like this as well. There is a STAR Case number for this: 51308000176 dated 5/25/2013.

Symptom/Vehicle Issue:
AC Comfort Settings do not operate or Operate at a different setting upon remote start

Discussion:
When remote starting a vehicle with ATC systems, the HVAC settings do not turn on at the desired customer settings prior to shutting off the vehicle. Engineering is investigating a software update for the HVAC module. Replacing the HVAC modules will not repair the vehicle at this time. Software updates scheduled for release by early 3rd quarter.

Second item on my list (short list by the way as everything else seems fine)
The rear gate will not consistently open on 2 clicks on the FOB... sometimes 2 sometimes it takes 4.

Gas milage has been averaging 20.2 to a high of 23.4. Haven't taken a lot of road trips, mostly to and from work (50 miles round trip).

3rd issue: Occasionally get the infamous: "Air suspension Cooling down, please wait" at low speeds. Going in for a full checkup on the system next week as this is not normal per the tech.

These are my three issues at this time. Guess Number 1 will have to wait for the software update. 2 will be looked at when they also check out number 3.

I have had it in sport mode a couple of times just for fun. Definitely a different feel.

End of rant :-)
