Welcome to the club, mine works the same way.

Yes this is one of the issues that people have complained about. If you need to manually turn it back on that is not correct.

Will let everyone know as soon as I hear. As this is such a hot topic though someone with an open case might hear before me.

Bottom line-- they rolled the dice and rushed this vehicle to market. They need to own up to it and compensate us.
When we got the owners manual on DVD with the Jeep, my wife was pretty excited to learn all about the vehicle. Then we found out it was just documentation on optical media.

I know they have the short videos online now, but a 30-45 minute DVD going over all the features would be so awesome.

I know this is supposedly the dealer's job, but who remembers what is explained at that time anyway? Would be nice to have it and be able to review in your own time...

I am sure you can guess how many times I have been called by dealers and or pulled into a customer delivery to do the full walk through because the sales guys don't even know how it works

Did a Cadillac SRX delivery last week and forgot how bad it was to not be able to simultaneously connect multiple bluetooth devices Cadillac Cue = Fail.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

I'm wondering if someone could try something with their jeep (since I don't have mine yet). It was stated in another post that when the driver door was opened and then the car was shut off, the climate control stayed where it was set when using the remote start. If this is the case then I wonder if setting "Engine off power delay" to 0 seconds will cause the same thing.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

I am going to grab some sample VINs and track this. My samples at the moment work fine.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

My salesman showed me the shelf in the glove box for the Users Guide. Other than that he said thank you, enjoy the Jeep. He explained nothing, but since I had already downloaded the manuals I was good to go.

Yeah giving the customer the walk through and taking time to explain features must cost more because verbatim my salesman says..thanks for your purchase I hope you'll choose us to service your vehicle, in order to learn more about the uconnect system....just start pushing buttons...I burned him and the dealership when the customer satisfaction survey came to me to fill out. Luckily I knew just about everything from doing some research before it was delivered from the factory and tips and clues I picked up from being on this forum and also test driving a summit and spending about an hour in the lot by myself experimenting with the uconnect system.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

About the manuals. Everyone who has purchased a new Jeep is permitted 1 copy of the original manual. You get 2, one for the Jeep, and 1 for the Uconnect system you have. You have to call a number, and give them your VIN, and you will get the manual in a couple days. IMHO the DVD blows. Take the time to get the manual, PM me if your salesman did not provide you with this number.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

I find the downloaded pdf manuals for both the Jeep and Uconnect to be an invaluable resource.

Re: 2014 AC not working with Remote Start

I just checked how the remote start worked on my newly acquired 2014 Summit. I had previously run the vehicle with climate control set to "Auto", driver and passenger temps set at 69 degrees. When I remote started the jeep (I had the windows down at the time to inspect the air coming out of the vents), the climate control was "ON", the "Auto" mode light was not lit, both driver and passenger temperatures indicated a setting of 72 degrees and the AC was blowing cold. When I opened the door, the entire climate control went to off and had to be turned back on manually. When I did so, all my previous settings returned.

Odd behavior to say the least. I guess I'm part of this exclusive club just waiting for the fix.
