2014 Air Suspension

I noticed the following message come up on the speedometer screen three times when coming home the other day: Air suspension cooling down. Please wait. Anyone else experience this.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

Unless you were repeatedly going up and down the range of settings you may have a problem with one of the height sensors causing the compressor to keep running and need cool-down time. Or it may just be a quick glitch you may never see again. If it keeps it up take it to the dealer.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

Haven't seen this, but I hardly touch the air suspension settings unless I'm planning to drive in sport mode or I'm picking up my in-laws who appreciate the park/entry mode.

Why would you hit the button if you were planning on using Sport mode? Going into Sport should lower it automatically.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

Mine has done it since new. It usually only happens after the first start of the day and usually shows the message after about 3 miles of driving. Then it doesn't occur again till the next day. I mentioned it to the dealer. They re-initialized the system, but that didn't help as the message showed up the next day.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

I am having the exact same issue on my 2014 Summit. I have an 18 mile commute on the hwy, I'll usually see this message about 5 minutes into the drive (stays on for about 30 seconds) and then comes on again around 10 minutes later.
This also only happens for me in the morning or first drive of the day.
Haven't taken it in yet, will update when I do.

I mean I force it to lower by using sport mode which is the only time I interact with the air suspension so far. I press the button to lower the car to park mode since it doesn't stay in the sport lowered mode when parking. Off-road 1, 2, Snow, Rock, Mud, etc I have yet to try.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

You should not ever get the cooling down message unless you are cycling through the ride heights several times. Normal aero mode, park mode, and in flight leveling should not throw it. I would get it checked at the dealer, and cycle it through it's settings with them.

I've had many issues with the QL before, but know when it is working normally, it is fast to change settings, and will not throw the cooling message. Something is causing the compressor to run longer than normal, it could be a low nitrogen charge, or a leak in the valves etc.

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

I had this message come on today for the first time on my 2014 Overland. I was just driving and it came on for 3 or 4 seconds and went off. Everything is working fine and it has not come on again. I am thinking maybe just a glitch in the software?

Re: 2014 Air Suspension

Just an update. My dealer looked at my 2014 Summit because of the message "Air Suspension Cooling Down - Please Wait". The tech read a Code #C15A3-00 which is supposedly a new code and it recommends the replacement of the Air Suspension Control Module. Now the problem is they don't have the part anywhere in the Mopar parts system.

By chance, does anyone know where the air suspension control module is located? Maybe under the hood near the air pump?
