2014 Altitude - trailer wiring?

I recently purchased a used 2014 Altitude (loving it)!

Was walking out to the car today and saw a few wires so I peeked under the car and saw the mess in the attached photos! Assuming this is pre-wiring for a trailer hitch? Let me know if anyone can confirm this.

Secondly can someone post a picture of what this is supposed to look like under here and would anyone know where to purchase the wiring & clips to get this looking like factory again? I am planning to add in a factory hitch is it has to do with wiring for that.

Thanks for any help and guidance anyone can provide.

It's not supposed to look like that. Too lazy to go to the garage right now but it just looks night a black harness which is neatly tucked away. Not that.

2014 Altitude - trailer wiring?

The stock tow harness runs down the driver side and is attached to the rear bumper up high and has a round plug on it.

Unless that's a mopar tow harness added later and just ran in a different spot. I would get some electrical tape and cover up the exposed ends just in case.

Re: 2014 Altitude - trailer wiring?

Previous owner had U-Hack install a 4 pin harness on it. looks like they drove off with the lights still plugged it

I was kind of thinking it looked like a u-hack job! Not cool.

Anyone know if there is a part number for the factory plug so that I can get this stuff cleaned back up?
