Anyone who believes there is a "problem" with the fuel filler and that it needs to be fixed.

Oh, I never did but the plastic cap makes sure there never is.

Clearly all the dust from your vehicle settles in your head instead... and don't accuse anyone else of trolling given the content of your recent post history.

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

So I had my check engine light come on and finally took the jeep into the dealership. They said there was a leak in the fuel filler area. Has anyone experienced something like that?

It has been over 30 days since I installed the filler neck that has a cap and there has been no problems at all.

Is it possible that gasoline Jeeps have different fuel system requirements? I was under the impression that our diesels' fuel tank and filler were operating at ambient pressure rather than having the gasoline evap type stuff.

Of course, I might be way off base here.

I find this design ridiculous! If I use my left hand to grip the nozzle handle, I scrape the back of my hand on the inside of the door! I have to grip it with my right hand and pull the door open some more to clear the handle.

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

I would say yes that the gasoline filler are different. You have the evap system on the gasoline models which my diesel does not have.

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

I don't have any issues filling up my Jeep, do I think this specific cap less system is great? NO.
Plastic all over and nothing really fits, gaps everywhere, just cheap not Jeep.

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

I have no issues with getting the nozzle in, the problem is that bull $*** shuts off and even if I use it manually keeps shutting off. I fu***** hate it.

What I'm I supposed to, inform the employee or WTF!!!

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

That is what I love about changing mine over to a cap type. I can fill it all the way up to the top and there is no problem, when I had the capless type it had the 2 flaps in the tube and you could not do this.

I've just filled mine up with 82 lts 18.3 imperial Gal.

I too was finding the shut off a PIA but found that twisting the nozzle towards the 10:00 pos i.e the hose pointing to the bottom r/h cnr, it fills fine.

Basicly i'm twisting it sideways.
