Re: 2014 climate control woes

1500 mile initial oil change is old school. I discussed it with my service manager. He said they wouldn't do it until 3000 - 3500 miles minimum.

I noticed if i shut the car off and get back into it within a short time it automatically turns on like should. I looked for any setting in the Uconnect but there were none. Does this require a dealer visit?
Same thing was happening to me. I was running around yesterday, and believe it or not, I needed the a/c it was so warm. When I got back in the Jeep after spending some time in a store, I fired it up and no air. I just flicked the knob one notch to the right and it all turned on to my previous settings.

This will be a problem in the real hot and cold weather. That's the whole point of remotely starting the car. I'll have to take it into the dealer at some point if we don't find the fix.

Even a manual system will simply start up at the previous setting (duh). This cannot be the way of things for this new system.

Yup, doesn't really make sense. I figured that maybe there was some setting in the Uconnect that has to be enabled/disabled but this shouldn't even be an option. All the cars that i ever owned or used if you left the climate control ON it would go on again as soon as the car is started again. Maybe its a bug in the first batch of 14's..

Re: 2014 climate control woes

Any chance you guys have not stored your driver settings in memory yet? 1 or 2? I seem to recall having to turn the A/C on when starting the car at the dealer, however since programming my seat position, etc. it comes on where I left it.

Re: 2014 climate control woes

Hi all, new to the Jeep GC, I just got a 2014 LTD and my issue is when i have the recirculation on off I feel no air coming in the cab through the vents, shouldn't outside air coming as i drive down the road? I have it se to direct upper body vents, only way to get air is to turn on blower.

Yes, i have done the memory seats and it has not helped. Every time i turn the car on my climate control is in the off position.

Did you associate your memory settings with the key FOB? Perhaps the setting associated with the key is "off". Check page 159 of the owners manual.

Re: 2014 climate control woes

Has anyone discussed this with a local dealer or called jeep about it?

I did not set anything with the fobs, and mine stays where I left it.

But you might be on to something. The dealers, or even the factory, might have tested the memory system with the climate control off.

Re: 2014 climate control woes

I have memory seats set and key fob as well. Usually use the keyless entry and the climate goes back to whatever settings it had when I left the car.
