2014 GC drama

hi guys,
new here, been reading the mods section for a couple of weeks, signed up and then this happened
I read about the issues with the GC etc and thought, thank the Lord i dont have some of these issues.

Sure enough, woke up this morning and BANG! ABS and Air Bag Sensors are going off at start up. I drive to the dealers as they are near by, and BANG instrument cluster blacks out. I pull over and restart the car, cluster is back on but air bag and ABS warnings are lighting up.

Go to the dealers and they say bring it back tomorrow morning and we'll flash the whole thing and it'll be fine.

Re: 2014 GC drama

Doesn't anybody have a new problem. This one is getting boring and they already have a fix.

Seriously, this is pretty common and the flash they are going to do is in fact covered by a recall. I had it done the other day and it took about 2 hours.

Good Luck.

Your problem is part of an international recall.

You can see our Aus official recall notice here:
Fiat Chrysler Group

hey dude, i understand it must be boring for people who have been through this before but for someone for whom this is the first ever brand new purchased car, first ever Jeep and paid upwards of 60,000$ and within four months to find that mid trip the dash switches off and the dealer service says "we may have to remove your entire dash to check for any other issues" yeh its a bit of a big deal.
The dealer actually said "we may have to remove your dash to....."

Lets hope it only takes 2 hours for mine, because if the dash comes out, they have another thing coming.

Snuke, thank you for the link, funny enough, the dealership in Sydney did not notify me or even tell me when i dropped the car off about a "recall" or a new OS.
Thanks again guys
