2014 GC Overland Tarnished Chrome
The chrome all over my GC is tarnished. It's a 5-13 build, I got it on 5/25/13, and it has 7348 miles. It is garage kept and I wash it every time I put gas in it (at least once a week). I live in CO and they use magnesium chloride on the roads in winter (and we get snow even in April), but this is the first vehicle I have ever had that has had this issue. And I've had vehicles get way dirtier and for way longer than I allow this one to get. It spent two weeks parked in the airport parking lot while we went on vacation to Florida, but that shouldn't have caused this.
It has been detailed professionally and they couldn't get it all off.
Does anyone know of anything I can do to fix this?
The tarnish is on my rear step edge, my Jeep emblems, my chrome mirror covers, my grill, my tow hooks and around them, the chrome around my fog lights, etc. The only places there is no tarnish is the chrome around my windows and my doors handles. It's literally everywhere else.
I'm so angry about it. My beautiful GC looks horrible now, and it's easily visible from a distance. Is this something I can take it to the dealer for? Will my warranty cover this or is there something else I can do about it?
