I might of went with the Infinity FX37 if I knew I would be having these problems with my Grand Cherokee.

Oh come on, it's not that simple for some of us... "Fix your complaints, don't just keep complaining." The only viable "fix" we have, is to keep letting the dealer try to fix this stuff, hope we don't get hurt when we are driving it around and it fails again, and wait till it satisfies the lemon laws. Otherwise, trading it in for a loss is just not financially viable.

Exactly so then for the rest of us you have to make lemonade sometime times with the lemons you receive in life and over time the taste isn't that bitter.

Last time I checked, this was the "Trouble Shooting/Problems/Service" section...

If you know a way to expedite a back-ordered air bag module, by all means...pray tell.

Unfortnately it appears the legal avenue may be necessary to "get their attention". I am just surprised that CJF has not reacted to their potential liability should an event occur given that the issue is documented but the extent is unknown. Suspect your lawyer will remind them.

I would also consult with an attorney as just "trading it in" for a different make without full disclosure could open you for liability.

Titan and AMC...I'm not disagreeing with you at all on this. I just I'm just saying that some people read way to much into this reliability factor on vehicles. Like do we really know what they look for in criteria for the problems ( light bulb out under warranty compared say the radio going out)? It would be nice if they mentioned it in their studies and if they are consistent on all vehicles, not just SUV reliability is different than passenger car reliability.

I had my 01 Jeep GC for 7yrs. In that time I went through: 2 window regulators, passenger window going off the track, the horrible shaking, power antenna replaced, clutch fan going out, and the ABS light coming on (one of the wires in the harness clip was falling out, they found this after 3 trips to the shop). After that one I stated I would never ever buy a Jeep again (my wife reminds me of this all the time). After 3yrs with my 08 Trailblazer 3LT and it drove (speaker issue 2 times and rattles in the back doors), I couldn't wait to go back to Jeep. I'm not saying this happens for everyone but sometimes it takes a different vehicle to make you want to go back.

It is always about what best suits you and your families life/safety. If a company can't fix the problem so you don't have to worry about that on a new vehicle, it is going to leave a bad taste in their mouth. I would make it known to the dealer and to Chrysler that all this information is online for people to see and comment on. Maybe it might change their tune a little. It sucks that you are going through this as I sure the hell wouldn't want to but we would all support your decision to move on to a different vehicle if you so choose. It is your life and your money, do it as you see fit.

Ok, I'm done now.

I appreciate the clarification, but honestly this (for me as an outsider) isn't about the fact that these cars can't all be perfect, or that we love them any less when they pee on the carpet, its about a company that doesn't seem to be standing behind the quality and safety of their vehicles they advertise as pinnacles of quality and safety. These guys are obviously busy dealing with problems every day, but a car that has 300 miles on it just shutting off, being "fixed" then doing it again, along with several other problems... seems like more than a shaky window out of alignment to me.

They should be jumping on this with all their weight to make it right. I know its a big company, but if one was to go outside this forum and start a cyber assassination on facebook or start a website that details the entire thing.. they could possibly lose 10-100 potential customers who aren't lovers of jeeps as most of us are. Even my mother reads the internet and researches cars she is thinking of buy.... not that I am suggesting anyone do that, but its been done.
