Trust me, I don't want to sit here complaining... BUT, I could not even get my Chrysler customer care rep to call me back until I posted about it on a public forum.

On top of that, even if others find it annoying, it sometime helps my frustration to commiserate with others.
Well, there are very few instances of message boards influencing a response from a big corporation. I'm not so sure it was more of a coincidence or not, but lets hope they are reading these boards. Hell, if they are, guys, i'd like my next Jeep for free. Thanks!

Me too. And for my troubles, please upgrade me to a Summit and I'll be a loyal Jeep person who will tell everybody how much I love my Jee---...

Dammit. I already do that. They have me over a barrel, don't they....

I can see why you would say that, but seriously, after making a post, I got a private message from someone asking for my call back number, and last 8 of my vin, and they got my rep to call me back.

Not a lecture but again if ranting gives you solace then do that as no one here wants anyone with a jeep to have issues but yes it happens to all brands that's the cost of upgrading technology etc..hopefully you will have a better experience in the days ahead and won't have to endure the headaches that surround you currently.

At this day and age, corporations are doing their best to save face when called out on a public forum. In these times, Facebook is "king" of social media and from the little I skimmed on the Chrysler FB page, AMC is right that thy try to extinguish the fire from the get go. If AMC's 1 in a million JGC experience gets further out in public-causing safety issues such as going dead in the middle of a highway-imagine the horror it could potentially cause the Jeep image (along with domestic manufacturers). I would love the JGC to be my first domestic, but like AMC, I don't want it to come at the safety of me and my family which is what we all want with our trucks. Hopefully most of the major issues gets resolved come fall when I get "shopping". I've fallen in love with this truck that no buying it in the fall would be a major letdown for me lol

ETA-I admire your patience in all if this along with your personal situation. I hope all is well with the family.

I'm currently driving a 2004 jgc limited with the 4.7 V8,there's a ntsa mention that those cars have a good chance of exploding if struck from behind and have documented incidents of that happening so don't think I haven't thought of that while driving and watching some dweeb coming up fast from behind me while I'm at a red light. Advancements have been made as time has forged forward and all we can hope is that the best thought process has been utilized in those creations, sometimes that is the case and other times it isn't but what we all do want is a sturdy bridge of connection from us the consumers to the dealerships/headquarters so that found problems are addressed ASAP so that the driving experience can be what it should be which is..enjoyable.

Re: 2014 GC Totally $#@% dead

So my wife is bringing the car in this morning for the Service 4WD light again, and she's almost at the dealership and calls me. I can tell she's trying to stay very calm. She said the Jeep radio is cutting out exactly like it did just before it died in the middle of the road when it happened to her. She's hoping she can make it to the dealer.

Really, should I be getting calls like this after the Jeep has been to the dealership three times (this is the fourth) and we have been assured every time that the problem has been fixed and Chrysler corporate has been involved?

This is just too much to ask anyone to deal with.

I hope the dealer takes a month to fix it and by then hopefully we'll be out of it.

AMC,

You should make your full VIN number public so no one on this site tries to buy your used 2014 once you dump it!

My pleasure:

Stay far away. It will probably end up as a rental, so I have heard from others. So if you're in NY/NJ/PA and renting a Granite 2014 JGC, check your VIN #'s folks.
