Bottom line, when I was pissed enough, it was too late and the lawyers were involved. I don't have time for this. Who does. Since they said I had a case and Chrysler wasn't responding, I turned it all over to the lawyers. It is in their hands now, and I challenge Chrysler at this point to do anything but admit that they have failed to fix my car and that it is time they swap it out.

If they fight me on that, then I might enlist a few of you as my Lemon Army. :-)

Thanks guys....

Looking forward to seeing if Marlon turned up anything at Jefferson North.

Cheers.

I'd join your lemon army, if needed, but I know that now you have summoned the lawyers you will have a brand new GC soon! I have had to pull the lawyer card before in various areas of life (sadly) and was always amazed by the quick turnaround. Having said that, and not to rub it in, I looooove my GC, and so far only have random software gremlins that occasionally drive me bonkers, until I remember yours and similar stories.

This won't happen. The district manager deals directly with the dealer, not the customer. The only time they will contact the customer is if they are ready to offer something.

So what's the status of your vehicle? The dealer has it, but are they still trying to troubleshoot the issue?

I really have no idea. We are now in a Jeep Liberty, which works without drama, and we are waiting to hear from the dealer. As far as I'm concerned, the longer it takes, the longer we have a stable, safe vehicle before ours is hopefully swapped. Again, not happy about paying a GC lease for a Liberty, but I am very happy to have my wife and child in something I feel a lot more confident won't have an issue while driving.

Once we get the GC back, I have half a mind to park it now that we are within lemon status, and rent a car. Wish I had the cash for that because I just don't trust our GC.

It isn't rubbing it in, don't worry. I'm psyched to hear about folks enjoying their Jeeps. It is just summoning good energy for when I hopefully get the replacement. I finally got the top down on my Wrangler last week. Such a blast.

Ha. Yes, it is the red one. Haven't spoken with anyone. The longer they have my Jeep the better, and the rest is in the hands of lawyers.

Re: 2014 GC Totally $#@% dead

My wife just heard from the service manager at Town & Country who just made a courtesy call to let us know that they were actively working on our vehicle.

He said my case has been escalated as high as it can get escalated to Chrysler and there is still a problem with the vehicle - he didn't say what the issue was, but told my wife I could call if I wanted, that he would be glad to answer any questions. Said he would like nothing more than to have this all sorted out for us.

I'll say it again -- you would think at this point, on the fourth visit, with 800 miles on the vehicle, 250-270 of which were put on by the dealer at Chrysler's request, with this case being escalated and the vehicle still having an issue, that it would be time for Chrysler to swap it out.

I mean, am I being unreasonable?

You're NOT being unreasonable.

But hey, put yourself in their shoes. (This is their mentality)

It's not a lemon yet, so why replace it?

Why do something when you don't legally HAVE to?

I'm not saying that I'm on their side, no way, but working here for a while proves my point.

Well, according to NY law, it is a lemon.

It just sucks that I have to go through a lawyer to get what Chrysler should be doing as a matter of customer service to MAKE IT RIGHT, you know?
