After the third breakdown and tow, even the sales guy that sold me the Jeep was trying to get Chrysler to do a buyback/replacement.

I even asked my company's manager of fleet services to use any contacts they had available (we have a large sales force, who all have company cars).

After the forth time it broken down, I finally started getting some decent answers back.

Once I was at about 35 days in total at the service department, Chrysler customer care started whatever process they have to do a replacement. From that point, it has taken about a week to hear that the replacement was approved.
Hey, as long as it worked right? Good luck with the new one!

I cannot wait to have a working vehicle! I have to tell you, sometimes I hate reading jeep garage, cause I see all the awesome stuff people are doing in/with their Jeeps, and I am jealous.

That's great news that they took care of it, Hopefully they get it over to ISG quickly and can get you in a new jeep.

Hey Challenger, to answer part of your question, the salesman was emailing me, and he said it will be up to me to take one that they have, or to build a new one, and wait for it to be delivered.

He did not tell me if they would give me max care, or any breaks on the Jeep I pick out. Guess I will have to wait to find that part out.

I am so anxious now I can't wait to get a JGC.

We've all been pulling for you that's for sure. I wonder what the heck...take one that we have means??? Is that a vehicle with demo miles on it..one from a dealer or one of those program cars they use for their executives??? I wonder what your equipment and package house will be if you choose that option as opposed to just having one built and waiting in anticipation for that later build and hopefully no issues!!

Anyone have a new 2014 that has no problems?
I have a 2014 Summit and love it - great car.

I have 600+ miles and it has been flawless except for a warning message I got on my dash saying the rear camera lens had something on it and needed to be cleaned - I knew that was not the case but I pulled over to check it and when I re-started the car the message was gone.

Thanks Challenger, I appreciate it. As soon as they give me more information on how this process works, I'll post it here. As of now, I really don't know much.

I am taking what the sales guy is telling me with a grain of salt, because, well, he is a sales guy.

Hopefully I will hear from ISG tomorrow. I hate waiting.

I love my 2014 GC Limited, but I've never bought a new vehicle that has had as many issues than my current Jeep. It will take many miles of "no issues" to regain my trust in this vehicle when it comes to dependability. As it stands now, I will be parting ways with my Jeep as soon as the warranty period is ending.

I am right there with you, I've only had my jeep for 2 weeks, and I can't believe the things that are wrong, fortunately nothing mechanical yet. I keep waiting for all my interior trim pieces to just fall off. Unless something drastically changes, in 2 1/2 years it will be gone.

-RA3 and RA4 are both Posted. RA2 to be posted tomorrow morning by 7:00am EST.

I have labeled this as an Unofficial release simply because I do not act as a representative of the provider of the software. I will as usual also caution you that you should *Use this at your own risk* and if you are more comfortable you may visit your Local Dealer and Reference STAR Case # S1308000211 and your dealer will load the software under warranty.

You must know the option code of your radio in order to get the correct update. The following fixes are in this update and specifically in speaking with a team of Sirus Radio engineers deals with some problems that have been reported in the the Grand Cherokee.

Thanks to Milous for providing the fix list:

Primary Enhancements:
Corrects screen wording errors
Corrects HD default to "on" at startup
Navigation performance enhancements
Improved radio response times
Corrects battery drain due to failed radio registration
Corrects Voice recognition would not start correctly
Improved HD radio seek
Corrects Driver’s memory function causes SiriusXM failure
Improved SiriusXM Performance
Corrects radio heated seat controls
System stability improvements
Corrects for “please insert USB” at boot mode
Improved user experience at high ambient temperature
Prevents GPS module failure

*** I have not verified if this has any impact on the Remote Start A/C issues and was told "not likely but not sure" ***

This will be my last post of unreleased software openly to JeepGarage, any future software releases including for other radios etc. will be available to JeepGarage supporters only. If there are Premium Members currently of JeepGarage that are also RAM owners I will post the RAM instructions in a Premium Members thread very soon. This is a great community and I personally know that these communities require support. This is my little way of a soft nudge to encourage that.

Unlike the prior release this is universal to either a MAC or PC as it is the RAW file. The instructions will seem very familiar to others who did 13.15.4 but you will see the File is not zipped in this case. Please read and follow the instructions I do not want to answer questions for things listed in the instructions. Please make sure to use a BLANK USB STICK. If you used this stick for the other update MAKE SURE YOU DELETE everything on the stick including the LOG file. I know this update will fit on a smaller memory stick.... DO NOT DO THIS, follow the instructions 1GB is the minimum and there is a reason as there is read/write during the update procedure.

Lastly when you read the instructions you will see that this is a customer authorized update. IF the update fails you can take it to your dealer and please know THIS WILL NOT FIX HARDWARE ISSUES. If there is a hardware issue with your radio this won't fix it and you will still need to have your radio looked at by a CDJ Dealer.

Thanks for reposting Willx's post from the Uconnect thread! I just did the update and it went flawlessly!

Heading into yet another issue-free week with the GC! Took it out for a spin tonight after the update. What an amazing vehicle....

And @marosenb!!! I'm so happy you're on your way to a new GC! From what I have read, you basically just give the company working for Chrysler the VIN of the vehicle you want from the Jeep site and they will work with the dealer to get it for you. Or, as you heard, you can order one. Just make sure you get a later VIN if you get one currently on a lot. I see there are still some older "first run" ones sitting on dealer lots (or close).

Still no word from the lawyer or Chrysler on mine, but at this point, as long as the GC is running fine, I don't care. The shifting has also totally smoothed out without the reset. 1600 miles on it now. Getting ready to take it on vacation. Still crossing my fingers, but we are starting to trust it more each day.
