That's what I thought until 750 miles later. Please report back after 1000 miles. I hope it's fixed for you.

Anyone know if the stick on weights are all the same? In other words are they all 1 ounce each? It appears that one of the square siuck on weights fell off causing my steering wheel to shimmy again slightly. I'd like to buy some weights but I don't know how much weight to put back on. Is this something I can do myself?

There r diff weights, but i cannot confirm that the smaller stick on increments would be the same size.

Be careful adjusting the weights. I noticed this past weekend that i had the old fashioned weights on the inside of my rim. Prob done by the dealer (see previous post). It doesn't bother me at all. Especially since the shimmy is gone. Just wanted to give u a heads up.

I also noticed the old fashioned weights (the type that gets hammered on the lip of the wheel) on the inside part of the wheel. I'm guessing the factory put these on the inside since they can't be seen anyway. I don't mind that. At least I know they won't fly off, unlike stick-on's.

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

I have a new Overland that steers happily smooth. V6, 20" wheels. Chrysler and my local dealership took care of me. You know from my posts the issue I had with vibration/shimmy.

How was your shimmy resolved? Did you get a replacement vehicle? If so did it come with the same wheel and tire combo?

Yes and Yes. The new vehicle was built late August. Unbelievable the difference between the two. When everything works day 1, the experience is awesome.

Re: 2014 GCs that have steering shimmy over 60MPH

No shimmy, but I did have to take the vehicle to an alignment shop to perform a 4 wheel alignment and center the steering wheel that was off to the right from day one. Dealer couldn't correct it after 2 attempts, so Chrysler wound up paying for the alignment from an independent shop that knew what they were doing.

And folks bitch when they label their Vehicle 2014.5

I think Jeep addressed a lot of issues that went into production in the "Mid Year" model.
