2014 Gr. Cherokee Quadra-Lift/Aero mode

Hi-I purchased my 2014 Gr. Ch Limited a few weeks ago, and I did some highway driving over the weekend. In Eco mode at highway speeds the Aero indicator light comes on in the instrument cluster and it shows four available LED indicator lights. It does not appear to be lit at the lowest of the LED settings? It is on the third of four LEDs. Should it be all the way down illuminating the last LED, or is the third position the correct position? Jeep customer service has no idea, and it's not spelled out in this level of detail in the manual. Thanks again for all the help!

The lowest would be entry/exit mode.

OK I understand that is the lowest of the Quadra lift modes, but are you saying that in Aero while the car is at highway speeds, the third one down is the lowest? Seems like with four available positions in the Aero-(highway only) mode, it should go lower. Thanks for the reply...

Wether it is in normal or aero height the second light will be lit. Entry exit is the bottom and ORI/ORII are the two above. They only illuminate when in that specific mode not what modes are available depending on a given speed.

Aero does not change the indicator lights by the shifter. You will only see it on the 7" EVIC

thought I would take my new gc out in econ mode for a ride an the aero light appeared on dash cluster with a green next to it. I kept watching it an eventually it went out. What did I do to make it come on (something wrong?) what is aero an how did I get it to come on?..................sonny

Re: 2014 Gr. Cherokee Quadra-Lift/Aero mode

somehow the functionality described here is different. I only get an AERO or ORA 1 or 2 yellow text on the dashboard. I have no idea what LED lights on the instrument cluster referring to ride height you guys are talking about.

The Aero mode is automatic at speeds above 50 mph and the car should seamlessly transition between the two height settings when you are in either ECO or Normal drive modes.

if you put your car in sport mode, it automatically drops into aero mode.

You can accidently place it in sport mode. My wife did this and then drove it not knowing she had to shift it. I was pissed! but then again she is a blond.

Sport mode requires no shifting, it is still fully automatic.

Two blondes in the same family?

What she probably did is hit a paddle shifter.

If you maintain speed above 65 or use sport mode QL will adjust to aero mode. It's all in the manual.
