Thanks a million SNUKE, after going over the sensor in the hood. Haven't had any problems what-so-ever with the alarm.

So hoping this is now resolved.

Although I now have a new problem.

My front park sensors are going off at every set of lights, regardless of if anyone is in front of me or not, and regardless of distance.

Calling the dealership today. This has been happening since I took delivery.

I have the same problem. Dealer has not fixed yet. Interested to hear your outcome.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Well I'm taking it into the dealership tomorrow. They have arranged a loan car while they fix it.

I'll also get them to look at the liftgate handle which isn't perfectly flush with the liftgate, I've seen the thread here and will give them the Star number and hopefully they will sort it out.

Will keep you guys posted of the results.

Forced regen they tell me today. I fear they have seen several MY14s with the same issue. Only once though then they are ok........ (Hold breath).
Servicing dealer have been responsive (thanks).

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Make sure you tell them that US models don't do this. They warn first, if the dealers also get pissy back at Jeep Aus about waiting their time with this crap it will help it be fixed.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Car has been dropped off. Getting them to look at the not flush Liftgate Handle, and a 'substance' stuck between the front right wheel arch and quarter panel since delivery, along with the "Ghosts" in the sensors.

It happens probably 30% of the time at a set of lights. Although it didn't happen at all on the drive back to the dealership... Just my luck the problem won't occur while he's test driving it I bet...

Will keep you all posted of the results.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Had GC Limited just a few months & having same problem with Cruise Control as mentioned in several posts. Stops working after using the Set + or Set - and cannot be reset until ignition is turned off & back on again. Dealer just changed the CC switch & 'module' but has not fixed the problem.
Can anyone who has had the same problem tell me what the fix was?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Well I picked the car up this morning, and while they resolved 1 out of the 3 issues, I'm not that annoyed... Yet...

So the 3 issues where:

1. Substance between the Front Right quarter panel and the wheel arch trim.
Successfully removed without any damage to point work (They mentioned it was a manufacturing sticker that wasn't correctly removed....)

2. Liftgate Handle not flush with car.
Adjusted by the technician, but not 100% flush, he's ordered a replacement handle from the US, just have to wait for it to arrive. Must say it's pretty close to flush now though after his fiddling, still not perfect though. But will be fixed once the part comes in from the US.

3. "Ghosts" in the front sensors.
The problem didn't occur while he was driving it, so he couldn't find a fault to diagnose... Happened immediately on my drive to work after picking it up. Have taken 2 pictures of it. (Attached below). Have emailed him those photo's and he's going to get back to me with a course of action.

So still ongoing, but definitely feel like it's being handled as best they can at this stage.
