Indeed. I do however get to 49 each day coming up our driveway. That jiggers all that has come before.

Maybe you should try going up it in reverse. Might slow the fuel up....

That's strange, mine never gets below 2 when coasting.

All,

Update from dealer re rear shock absorber noise issues

Received call from dealer yesterday advising that response from CJA is that as the rear shocks are self levelling they will make 'clunking' noises as standard due to their design, and I will have to live with it; dealer declined to provide this information in writing

I don't think I'd accept that. Subaru sells s shipload of cars with self-levelling suspension. And they don't clunk. (Yes, I've owned one).
I would keep pressing for a resolution on this one.

Yes, I agree don't accept this B/S and keep pushing. It is well known that the clunking noise was a problem with the 2013 series and JA replaced many shock absorbers. I have the same issue with my 2014 Laredo which is currently being assessed by the dealer. They say mine is the first they have come across with this issue in the 2014 series but it sounds exactly like those they replaced in the 2013.

When you go back to JA, ask them about the 2013 issue. Ask them if it is the "self levelling" mechanism then why is it only affecting some of the JGC and not all of them. Let them know that you know JA has replaced shockers due to this noise on the 2014 series as well as the 2013 series. Failing that, take them to the small claims court with evidence from other owners from this site to seek an order that they fix this problem!

nb the fact that they won't put it in writing for you should ring alarm bells.

Hi kunwok, don't accept this. You are protected under consumer law and as a result, If it is a standard noise produced by the shock absorber, this should have been disclosed to you prior to you purchasing the car not after the problem arose. Keep pushing, if you have no luck go to consumer affairs.

My father in law has the same issue with his limited and is getting his replaced by the dealer. What ever the issue is, he is telling me it's also causing some significant swaying issues when towing a large caravan, so I don't believe that it's by any means normal operation for the shocks to clunk.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Hello
I had a TSB applied last week to fix the "raising" flashing light on my Overland last week and since then the air suspension has not adjusted it self for proper appearance a few minutes after shut down like it used to.
Is this linked to the TSB or is something else wrong?
Cheers

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Laredo CRD 2600km
On the passenger door frame a sticker with PRX 3/10/13, VIN 1/14 (is PRX the build date?).
Going well! A mix of driving including about 1000km towing a 3 ton van. Best consumption so far 7.0l/100 (Canberra to Sydney); worst about 14.
Issues:
* no rear camera - dealer claims 'available next week'
* sunglass holder above dash had broken spring - the dealer PDI picked this one up - replacement has arrived but they don't have time to fit it!
* cruise control skips out (sometimes) - also the button is too sensitive - sometimes when you hit set on the button next to it the cruise control disengages
* radio/music keeps coming on - even when turned off (comes straight back on)
* sometimes a bit difficult to control at slow speeds - it seems if you come up to a roundabout she'll drop into 3rd say, you try to gently move off - too sluggish so a little more right foot - then bang into first and off like a stallion!
* I'm new to diesels but at slow speeds/pulling van seems a bit 'clattery'. Quite when cruising.
Overall very impressed - it will even accelerate when towing 3 ton uphill!
