Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

i wonder if any one can replicate this.

if you set cruise control and then hold the + button down to accelerate for more than 2 seconds, does it totaly shut down cruise control requiring a restart of the car?

It appears that the cruise control problem is only occurring to the Limiteds.

No, if you see the cruise control thread you will see Laredos owners with problems.

Oil leak from the timing case discovered this morning.
10K service was done a week ago... coincidence???
If you overfill the engine oil is would this be a symtom?
Apparently mine is the fourth one the dealer has seen doing this.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Air-conditioning problem occured with this vehicle a few weeks ago. Climate control has been great since new but now when selecting passenger temperature 2deg or more above set, that side cycled really hot / cold for about 15 minutes until it settled down to correct setting. Back to the shop, blend doors needed re-calibration and another new update for aircon. Vehicle has a mind of it own, just get's distracted every now and then.

Red Overland Diesel. 750 klm.

Cruise Control refused to turn on yesterday with error message 'Cruise Control/CG Unavailable. Service Required" (I cannot remember the exact two letters after the / ).

The third time I started the car it came back to normal.

Also yesterday, the Fuel Consumption shows at 99 liters per 100 klm when I am at rest, but appears to work normally when moving.

Roof leak repaired. There is a Service Bulletin out about it, so check your cars next time it rains, particularly when parking on an up-slope. It had to be taken to a panelbeater to do the task.
Tailgate handle replaced.
Glovebox lock replaced.
Other issues - QL getting stuck in 'raising', camera problems, radio range and gear paddle bipolar disorder allegedly fixed by a 'software update'. Hmmmmm. Camera is still hopeless at night and chatters whenever it's on. Radio range is yet to be determined when next I take it out of town.
All done at 10K service.

It's starting to come together, but I would have preferred a more Toyota-like experience (ZERO issues with my Prado). But this thing runs rings around the Prado

This is normal. You're burning fuel yet not going anywhere, so correctly your average sucks.
