Have had service people check fan system operation and they tell me its normal.

Have heard that the cooling fan should RUN at low speed with A/c ON from start-up. Mine doesn't seem to operate this way. Is this correct or not.
Apparently this temperature behaviour is normal, the thermostat valve does not open completely until you get high up on the temp gauge at which point the valve opens completely and you will notice the temp will decrease again. Just the way these have been designed to operate under load, nothing to be concerened about

There's brown colored sludge (not oil) on interior wall of coolant reservoir. It appeared around 7k km. the tech scratched the head, took photo and sent to JEEP for advice. Anyone out there has the similar experience?

Thanks

Head gasket? It'd be engine oil sludge then? But it doesn't feel like (I took a swipe with a finger)

Its not residual left from the build. I have heard of new cars before having something similar where a sludge build up caused by the manufacturing pricess and after a coolant change is fine.

Rather weird, was ok before 7k km. I took some sludge out and leaved it on paper. After fully dried out, it felt like a thin layer of dust. Let's see whats JEEP advice.

It's a thin layer of powder, NOT DUST.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Problems - Australia

Our GC developed a creak from the rear of the interior a month or so ago, and it generally only occurs when traversing uneven surfaces such as pulling into a steep driveway on the angle. It has been at the dealer for the last few days getting part of the sun roof replaced as per the TSB on this issue, and the dealer informed me late this arvo that it hasn't fixed the creak. The dealer has had to keep it for another day to await further instructions from CJD on a fix.

I'm curious to know whether anyone else has had a similar experience and what the fix may have been?
