Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit issues!

It would've taken me totally the wrong way. Once I was within a mile straight ahead of my destination and it said turn left before I got there..plus speed limits it gives you are often off.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit issues!

Good old Road Atlas? Boy, you're rolling Old School. Nice.
I'm now 2+ months into my '14 Summit and I feel for all of you guys having the Uconnect issues. Only once, for about 1 minute, did my soft buttons, steering wheel controls and VR fail to respond. Otherwise it's been great.

Now that the weather is warming up in the Chicago area I'm wondering if leaving the climate control on "AUTO" actually turns on the AC (which would also dehumidify the interior) when necessary. The windows fog up pretty easily. The manual says that when you press the AC button the AUTO function goes off. The AC light never seems to come on when in AUTO mode. On my 2006 Infiniti, the AC light was almost always on when in AUTO mode. (I like it chilly).
Anyone?

The "auto climate" light on My '08 Avenger R/T turned off once I set to manual climate control as well. It was a rotary dial and not a digital display. Therefore, I never had a problem when using remote start knowing that it would be the same as when I turned it off. Unfortunately, my new Summit does not. The climate is off whether I use remote start or Uconnect mobile remote start. Hopefully, a fix is forthcoming soon.

Yeah, I'd love to leave mine on Auto and have the A/C on. Just the word "Auto" would seem to imply that the A/C comes on when necessary (if not on all the time). I don't get why the light didn't go on in my Jeep either, just to let me know. For all I know, it's ON, it just isn't telling me it's on.

I'd love to know this as well.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit issues!

Can everyone with problems please post only the problems and current situation to this post.
http://www.jeepgarage.org/f107/most-common-2014-grand-cherokee-issues-62816.html#post858065

By current problem/situation I mean-- issues as noted, fixed/Not fixed, parts replaced, dealer service attempted to fix). PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT put any derogatory remarks, only keep it to the facts and try to be explicit (don't just say it's not working). I also ask that unless you have a fix that coincides with a traceable action do not post that here. By traceable action I mean a service bulletin or something that can be verified through Jeep. We don't need to go chasing rabbits...

I want to keep this thread as short and simple as possible, so please no high jacking. WE need to consolidate our problems either through social media or the courts so that Jeep starts paying attention to problems with our (say it with me) Forty Eight Thousand Dollar purchase we rely on to go to work and protect our children on the road..

I pressed the auto button a few months ago. When it is hot the a/c comes on, when it's cold the heat comes on. If I adjust the fan speed the auto light goes out. Heat and a/c still come on automatically but the fan speed doesn't change. To go back to full auto, from this hybrid mode, I have to press the button again. This is exactly like my last vehicle, an Acura.

I regret trading in my perfectly fine no issue 2011 Summit for the 2014 Summit. It's been 2 weeks and the blind spot is not working. My dealer in Delaware replaced both mirrors and the module and it still doesn't work. I am disappointed that Chrsyler hasn't replied to my dealer yet and so they sent another email.

Not happy having the flagship vehicle and one of its safety features doesn't work. In DE, when does it become defective and what are my options should a solution to the problem not be available?

Not sure so maybe someone more technical than me can confirm but isn't the My Ford Touch and the Uconnect software designed by MicroSoft?

This may shed some light on it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit issues!

I have not had the same problems that you are indicationg, but I just bought a new Summitt in June and my FM radio reception is horrible and the auxillary jack is broken. I brought it back to the dealer only to be told that the usb is better to use for ipods and iphones, and that I must just be used to the clarity of xm radio. I am so anry I contacted Uconnect directly and then they reached out to the dealer only to be pushed of as well. Ughh
