2014 Grand Cherokee wont start

Just got back my truck from service department yesterday for a replacement of the transmission valve body. Then this morning the truck won't start. When I hit the start button, there is a message jumped out says "service transmission. Continue in D..." Pic is attached. Any one else experienced the same thing? The mileage is less then 5000 and it already been sent to service multiple times... Waiting for the towing now, don't know what will happen

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee wont start

Looks like your service department didn't adequately test / validate the vehicle after doing the work.

That's putting it charitably.

Danny did they figure it out? I got this same message today. Battery went dead after leaving the doors open and radio on while getting the windows tinted. Jeep started going nuts with erratic honking of the horn? Jeep would not start. We charged the battery, still would not start. Luckily the shop I was at builds police cars. One of their techs used a code scanner to clear something and got it started! Thankful I did not have to get it towed. Now the check engine light is on. Curious as to what the dealer said about yours? Thanks!

Can you elaborate more on the valve body? Was this due to the harsh shifting in the 8 speed?

I wonder if when the battery gets too low it causes voltage irregularities which causes a code that prevents starting

My Jeep went through the erratic behavior, going nuts, honking thing last July. Turned out that drainage from the sunroof was allowing water near the computer control modules -- I even have a youtube video below of it going nuts.

Hopefully they replaced the control modules as the corrosion will set in quickly.

They did, they replaced three different control modules and the radio unit, but I still have issues that seem electrical in nature (My jeep is even in the shop right now).

the dealers said because the careless technician didn't do the wire things properly when he replaced my transmission body valve and it got disconnect when I drove my truck back home ...actually the picture I post is not the only error I got when I tried to start my truck that day, I got almost everything needs service message popped up

it's due to the harsh shift down from 2 to 1. And I do find it is really hard to shift to 8 when the truck is running on a low speed let's say around 35mph after they flash the newest software and replaced the valve body. I'm not sure what is the appropriate RPM for engine when the truck is cruising around 35MPH, mine is between 1500 to 2000 RPM with shift level 7. I can only get to level 8 when I drive around 55mph.

Are you saying you try to shift into 8th gear at 35mph?
