I haven't found a way to do that when viewing forum posts on the Tapatalk app in an iphone. The posts look blank and it's not very convenient to open them in the web browser. Even "quoting" the post to view it makes it difficult to read.

Re: 2014 issues

Getting back to my point though have any of you noticed the same thing? I know two of the overlands in the dealership do the same and I am waiting for the firmware to get announced or posted for at least the Uconnect issues. How have all of you been with the VR on destination, is it working? Does it understand the roads the addresses or are you finding you have to input it by voice about 10 times for it to work. thanks

Some addresses go in right away. I never tried 10 times. If it doesn't go in the second time, I type. It is very intuitive, so you don't have to type much. You do have to be stopped.

Re: 2014 issues

I was just informed that an update is being sent to the dealerships. It will be sent out the next couple of days, I guess it will arrive Friday or Monday. This is from Uconnect.

That's good new. Hopefully this fixes the issues people are having.

Do we need to go to the dealer to get an update?

That would be pretty funny if uConnect had to mail the update instead of sending it via computer.

Re: 2014 issues

That page you guys are putting in with your vin is for little updates that you can do by using a USP flash drive. The update that is going to the dealership is more involved and deals with the Uconnect integration with the vehicle. I hear the dealerships have to do it as its not so much as an update but a firmware change on the system. I suspect its changing so many components you will want the mechanic to do it.
I find that the Jeep reps that answer the phones do not know our vehicles and are just logging our calls and tracking the type of calls. One rep did not even know that the 2014 does not come with a cd player but is an option.
I have no idea if this is going to fix all the issues but at least they acknowledge they are over thier heads with phone calls.

Re: 2014 issues

SO I got the update that was sent to the dealer Thursday. It took about an hour to load. I wish I had good news but as of tonight the system froze again. This time it was when I hit shuffle play. I also noticed that on Sirius I can no longer block channels that I don't want to listen to. I am getting really frustrated at the lack of a real fix for all these issues. The dealership is getting many of the same complaints but I was the guinea pig and it looks like the fix did not work. I had to call Jeep tonight because Uconnect refused to talk to me as I now have a "Case Manager" I had to beg them to give me the code on how to do a soft reset.
Just note a soft reset is Engine on, hold down green phone button and VR button (face) on steering column at same time. Hold down for 30 seconds. Turn engine off, open door for 30 seconds, close door, start engine. A blue screen will come up and it resets. A hard reset is heat and cold button at the same time for 30 seconds but that resets it back to Factory default (not recommended)
I am getting really frustrated at all of these issues, I don't understand why the 14 is having so many but the 11 was good to go when I bought it. I also notice the back button under the screen does not work, is everyone else see that too?
