The dealership is getting many of the same complaints but I was the guinea pig and it looks like the fix did not work. I had to call Jeep tonight because Uconnect refused to talk to me as I now have a "Case Manager" I had to beg them to give me the code on how to do a soft reset.
Just note a soft reset is Engine on, hold down green phone button and VR button (face) on steering column at same time. Hold down for 30 seconds. Turn engine off, open door for 30 seconds, close door, start engine. A blue screen will come up and it resets. A hard reset is heat and cold button at the same time for 30 seconds but that resets it back to Factory default (not recommended)
I am getting really frustrated at all of these issues, I don't understand why the 14 is having so many but the 11 was good to go when I bought it. I also notice the back button under the screen does not work, is everyone else see that too?
Holy smokes. Do you have to stand on one leg and say the alphabet backwards as well? I really hope they get this straightened out for you guys. I guess that's one good thing about the crd being delayed this long, might get some of these bugs worked out.

Re: 2014 issues

I would wear tin foil on my head if I thought it would fix it. I really think there is a systemic problem with the Uconnect units if there was not why not just swap this unit out in my brand new 47,000.00 Jeep. All I want is a reliable vehicle and I have been a jeep owner for over 18 years. Maybe I should have leased it instead of bought it. I am a patient man but I am being tested.

Re: 2014 issues

Just got a survey today from Jeep, I was very honest it takes about 20 minutes with all that is wrong with my vehicle to fill out. I hope everyone takes the time to fill it out as its the only way these guys will address all the problems. Almost got in an accident last night as the wipers failed on the car. I am getting really fed up with all the problems I am having. I think I got a lemon from the February assemble. So frustrated with my case manager who is nice but not really giving me answers. If you look at the survey they question all the issues that people are pointing out in the forums. I think they know they are having challenges but when are they going to begin addressing the issues. My Uconnect is almost useless at this point it fails daily BUT the "vendor does not have any to ship"
I just want to drop the keys off and say give me a new one please.......

Is there a screen on the uconnect that shows the version number? I'll want to check mine is up to date before I take delivery.

Re: 2014 issues

I just ched mine after the update System Ver 13.10.0 App Ver 13.8.0 and Boot ver 12.13.1 The update might also be differant depending on what radio you have, i have the ra3. Also and update doesnt necessarily mean that your software vertion will be differant it could just a differant driver set inside that software version
