Re: 2014 Jeep Overland - Dash lit up like a christmas tree, speedometer not working
I had my Jeep in for updates in August when it had 2200 miles, so I would expect them to have updated ALL TSB items up to August. It still did not cure the radio reception and memory problems I went in to have serviced. Update - 6200 miles Just got back from a drive with the family and the service shifter error reappeared. The Christmas tree routine repeated with off and on. The ECO stopped working. The engine downshifted into first gear and the shifter knob lights blinking on and off. Had to pull off the highway every five miles and shut the engine off and start all over to get the car to shift. Drove very carefully on the side of the road in case it popped into first gear again. While on the side of the road called the dealer and requested a loaner or rental to be available after I would have the car towed. No coop from the dealer, said no GM or other managers available on weekend. Suggested I call Jeep customer assistance. Did so, told them I have the Chrysler life time warranty. I was told to call the dealer to see if they would give me a rental or loaner. So, I guess I'll wait till Monday and call the service manager at the dealer and see what she can arrange. I am setup for the free tow by Chrysler and will see if the service manager will give me a loaner. I love my Jeeps and this is my third, but I think it's time for me to move on to another brand. Yeah, yeah, I know it's just a machine, just venting..... How the heck do I separate paragraphs? I tried editing this twice with no success.
