Sort of? It felt okay except that it kept raising me up when I picked up speed and then lowering me as I'd slow down. I had the music off so I could hear it and feel it.

Sounds like it was going into park height everytime you went less than 15? MPH

Wouldn't know... The speedometer didn't work and the height indicator wasn't doing anything Lol

This repair seems different then most on here. Let me know if this repair makes sense to anyone.
Those do seem odd locations for grounds to be affecting the IC.
Some places have techs with electrical backgrounds, and they will take a very low scale voltmeter and measure the voltage drop along a cable run and at connectors.
Except for starter circuits and similar, any voltage difference at all along a cable run or across a connector indicates a problem there.

Used it myself to prove to a dealer that yes, the !!@$#$!^%% ignition switch was bad.

I've had it happen exactly twice. First time I took it to the dealer.
Second time, I just turned it off, moved the key fob [a tad forcefully with a fond profanity laden message] to the lawn, and waited until all lights were off [essentially like prepping for a nav cluster update] and then retrieved the key, came back and started it. Went away and hasn't been back yet--but I presume it will be.

Dealer called yesterday. I guess Chrysler is having them order a new abs module. Which, of course, is on backorder. So who knows how long I'll be in a rental. Good news is I scored with a 2013 limited so its not all that bad. Trying to stay positive but it sucks when the dealership seems to have my car more than me lately..

Ours did this for a second time today (dealer flashed PCM after the first time a few weeks ago). No speedometer, suspension, ABS faults, check engine light, etc, etc. Called Jeep directly this time to start logging the issues.

I'd say you more than likely have a ground problem. I had all those issues and after a few days of the dealer taking to Chrysler they found a ground below the TIPM on the rail which was damaged. Replaced it and so far so good

Re: 2014 Jeep Overland - Dash lit up like a christmas tree, speedometer not working

First of all thanks to everyone that helped post here. I have a 2014 Limited with the Christmas Tree affect.
I got it once and the dealer didn't see anything after 2 days. About a month later I got it one night, left it sit for a few hours (off) and then everything worked except a check engine light giving a U1412 code. Nothing on the internet about it except here and so i left it for a while and 4 days later it did it again. Same code.

So i called the dealer and took it in and told them the code and some of the suggestions here, grounding strap, ABS module, PCM, etc.

Just got a call back from the dealer to pick it up after 5 days. They said there was a bulletin from Chrysler about a wiring harness. They said there was a harness that the wires were cut short and with driving the vibrations can make the wires come apart from the clip.

Hopefully this will resolve my issue. All who have this, ask them to look at the bulletins for possible solutions.

I will try to post after a little while to make sure it worked for me, but it was a month before it happened again to me.

Thanks again for all the help on these forums.

I had the same Xmas tree issue followed by just the check engine light yesterday ('14 Overland, 6K miles, May build). Dealer diagnosed and ordered the ABS module which could be on back order as long as 30Sep! Ugh. They are trying to expedite but in the mean time indicate its ok to drive with. It seems like folks have done both here, leave it with dealer or drive with it. My concern is I pull a trailer every weekend (motorcycle racing) and don't want a problem with the air suspension or create one.

Anyone drive with the fault lights and have issues or trailer with no issues?

Re: 2014 Jeep Overland - Dash lit up like a christmas tree, speedometer not working

I cannot speak for everyone else but for my christmas tree issue, the car would drive without issue, but i would have some services not work like my speedo, parksense, etc. I have driven it that way for about 30-40 miles without issue, just stayed with traffic for speed.

Usually I could restart the Jeep and it would still be there, but let it sit a few hours (2-3) and it would be fine afterwards with just a check engine light.

Not sure if yours is the same or if it is always on, but that was my experience with the issue.

U1412 vehicle speed implausible (PCM). Comes over the CAN bus from the ABS module.
