Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

WOW! I was thinking of different buzzing sounds like from the under dash (clip loose) or something. That sounds electrical to me or some type of device malfunctioning when activating.

The Clunk on the other hand!

Whats your build date?

Oh there is that dash buzz too. What you heard was coming from the rear somewhere. As mentioned before, spare tire, tools, cargo compartments etc was taken out so not sure where the buzz is coming from.

How do I find my build date?

Although strange, maybe sit in the way back while someone drives around. Maybe help you pinpoint the sound a little better.

Open driver door, should be on the part that you don't see when closed (whatever that's called)

Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

Jeep has been dropped off. SA says she's never heard of any of these issues before - really? Seemed a little too honest about other things (getting sued being one of them).

Anyway, all the recordings I made were sent to her email address and we listened to them. She acknowledged the sounds, clunks, buzzes etc. They were swamped and not able to look at my jeep today, thus we couldn't go for that ride to replicate the issues. I'm willing to bet they won't be able to "reproduce" some of them and that I will have to waste more of my time replicating the noises for them.

No optimism here. None. If I get a bullshit answer, sorry Jeep. I'll be in touch with my Lemon Law attorney if that time comes and just do the needfull of taking it back over and over and over. If it's fixed, good. If not, more ammo for my case.

Sorry fanboys.

Lol, fanboys.

Just out of curiosity, when did you notice the problems in relation to when you took ownership?

Transmission was sketchy from day one. Dash rattle from day one. The "sloshing" sound about a few days later. The clunk about a week later. The rear buzzing started today.

Man, that's just dog shit.. Why didn't you bring it back that day? I mean, it's a pretty expensive item that wasn't performing from the jump. Granted, I don't know your schedule or anything, it's just that i would have been there, in their face, the second this stuff started.

Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

Time my friend.. I don't have a lot of it. Dealer I purchased from is quite a ways away - Apparently this Altitude version is tough to find so I'm not local to them.

Also, I hoped the first issues I had would smooth out or go away. 700 miles later, they've gotten worse and new ones have surfaced.

It is what it is - but not having a car to go to work, pick up son from school, etc is a pain in the ass. Wifey has a 2012 GMC Terrain which we will be sharing until Jeep is back. 2 years with that car now and I've never appreciated it more.
