Did you ever get a diagnosis as to what is causing these issues? Were you able to get them fixed?

The clunk is gone finally. The dealer had to replace the coil spring and some other suspension components.

All other issues still remain and of course, dealer says they're normal and all jeeps do that. Transmission is extremely rough and I'm surprised it hasn't fell off with all the banging noises it makes. Will keep taking it back however I need some free time.

I dont know if this makes you feel better or worse, but I have a 3/2014 built white Altitude, and it has been 100% flawless for me.

They can and do build good Jeeps from time to time. I have 2,600 miles and its all good.

Good to hear. If our Jeeps are identical, why does my transmission suck so much?

You can honestly say your transmission has never banged or clunked? Shit than you are one of the lucky ones. It's a jaw dropping clunk/bang - especially at low speeds (parking lots, traffic). Sounds like there is no inbetween. You have issues or you don't.

I can honestly say that I've had no issues with mine after 10K miles.

Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

I have a new jgc summit with 2k miles. I can say that I too notice the clunking shifts at low speeds while in Eco mode. Sport mode seems to reduce the clunk but still shifts harder than it should when warming up. Anybody remedy this? I heard something about unplugging battery to reset system. Any thoughts?

From what I've read, there are a couple TSBs to address the issue but most users say they see little to no difference. Lots of threads specific to the transmission issues.

Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

I would be calling Jeep and not the dealership. The fact that you spent $40,000 and they cant give you a jalopy in there used section to drive while they fix it is rediculous. I took my Wrangler to get fixed a few days after i bought it and i didnt even have to ask they offered a car i could use.

Same here. I have just over 2k on my Altitude with no issues.
The transmission was a little rough at first but it gets better over time as the ECU learns your driving habits.

Re: 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

Me as well. Just over 3K on it and no issues. I also felt the trans running rough in the beginning but now its very smooth. I am mostly highway miles if that contributes to any factor.
