2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 woes

Hey all. Have about 700 miles on my JGC Altitude 4x4 and have a few issues that are coming to fruition very quickly. Doing some reading here and it appears I'm not alone. Looks like older TSBs address some of these issues (thankfully) but I'm confused as to why Jeep wouldn't just fix these from the get-go on newer models. I would hate to take her in to the dealer so soon but I have no choice as these issues are driving me up the wall. Ready? Here goes..

1. Transmission shifts are extremely harsh. Seems to be a little better in ECO mode. Sport mode cannot be driven normally and you gotta give it a lot of throttle to shift smoothly. Other wise it feels like WWII is going on underneath the vehicle. In traffic, a jaw dropping "bang" can be felt when tranny shifts into 2nd while decelerating without braking. This cannot be normal.

2. Water sloshing sound when coming to a stop (AC leak? Fuel baffle needs to be added?). Checked my compartments below the seats and no water at all. Seems to be coming from behind the dash or below the pedals. Swerving right and left at slow speeds makes a different type of liquid swooshing sound too.

3. Outrageously annoying "clunk" or "thud" coming from rear when traveling over speed bumps at low speeds, turning right or just cruising down a road that has some uneven spots. I removed the privacy shade, spare tire and tools, license plate bracket, storage compartments and the trunk floorboard (not sure what you would call this) and sound seems to have gotten louder (bad shocks?)

4. Buzzing sound from behind the dash along with other creaks and groans.

5. Long crank times.

6. Misaligned body panels and body accents.

There are actually more but I'm too tired to expound any further. Overall, she looks beautiful but I'm starting to rethink my decision about coming back to Mopar. I owned a 2003 Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T that was eventually lemoned under the CA lemon law and swore I'd never come back. If all these issues go away, great. But you don't buy a new car expecting to have issues like this.

Sigh..

I don't have a 2014, but I feel like I have read about every single one of these problems so your not alone. She's a beaut, and I scratch my head too why the dealer does not go over these vehicles with a fine tooth comb but I guess it depends on the dealer. I have had a 2013 just over a year and zero issues, at least not any I would consider a big deal so not that it makes your problems go away, but there is a quality there, somewhere Here is a list of all the TSBs out for your vehicle. If I were in your shoes I would call up the service manager, schedule and appointment, and give the list along with all the other issues to be fixed. You deserve to get what you paid for!

She is a beaut and sorry for your headaches. I suppose this story is another reason to take it for a test drive bf you "sign on the dotted line". Is that even a realistic thing to do..i.e. test drive bf you actually take ownership of the car (if ordered of course). I know there is a guy on here that refused a new car but was banged with some sort of penalty $500.

Did not order her however I did patiently wait 10 days to secure this "limited" Altitude model. I can't even find time to drop her off at the dealer let alone they won't provide a loaner car. Frustrating indeed. I just want it to be normal like the 11 cars I've owned throughout my life.

EDIT: Clunking sound attached along with a new buzzing sound.. yay.

At 15 and 39 seconds, is that the clunk sound? Shit, that is terrible.

They can get you a dealer car if they want to.. If that dealer Won't help you maybe another will.. Dealers are all about on going service that's their bread and butter.
