I have a 2014 JGC Summit <300 miles. the Fobs are hung up in my kitchen about 25 feet from the vehicle in the garage. I occasionally walk out to the garage and the "Step on the brake and press start" message is on the center display and the gear shift is illuminated. Then it turns off. No one has touched the Fobs and no one has touched the vehicle. Any ideas? This has got to be running down the battery over time.
On mine if i put my hand on the door handle the dash will light up even if i dont have the key with me. The door will stay locked but the dash will wake up.
I tried locking the car to see if it made any difference. Same thing. No Fob being touched and the car was untouched. I noticed if the inside of the door handle was touched the same thing happens but all the instances I am referring to have been without contact with the vehicle.
