Not sure if this was posted before.
Probably I' m the only one ever having faced this issue? :)

Started Jeep and on Auto AC setting the air would go to my feet and to the windshield but NOT to my face (dashboard air outlets), usually it's pretty evenly distributed.
On manual I could direct the air to the dashboard outlets...

After Jeep was parked for a couple hours everything went back to normal operation.

Any idea what happened here?

The dealer will apply the new service updates and then they will perform the Actuator Calibration Test routine found under the Systems Test tab in the HVAC control module view in the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. This will resolve your issue. This is done with a WiTech unit connected to you computer in your vehicle. Takes about 15 mins to apply both updates and calibration to your HVAC unit. It will make a world of difference. You will think that your HVAC has been replaced with a new one. This is a must update that needs to be done for your HVAC unit to cool right.

I'm not sure what my dealer did a couple of weeks ago, but the results were what you describe. My a/c was working, but the air flow was never really powerful. I just thought it was a Jeep thing and kept all the vents pointing in my direction. Now I have them pointing the other way. Very

I don't know if this relates to this thread or not but I had my 2014 GC in for service yesterday as I felt that the climate control in auto mode was ineffective. Manual mode was OK but in auto mode there was no appreciable change in fan speeds whenever more air was required. The techs performed an a/c calibration test, ran HVAC flash software update, than did a re-calibration as per Service Bulletin # 24-002-13. The system now appears to be functioning correctly.

Great to get all that valuable feedback, really appreciated!

I'll make a note and next time I have the Jeep serviced I'll mention this to them.
It's working now and I'm typically paranoid about repairs no matter what.
Often just after the repair something else doesn't work anymore : )

Hope it works out for you. I am also keeping my eye on the auto on heated seats and steering wheel function with vehicle start. We have had a few frosty mornings here and I had to activate manually. My service advisor says it has to be freakin' January cold before the sensors kick in.

My AC Auto airflow issue has been fine since that one instance, I'm not too worried about it right now.
Cars are simply way too complicated, more computers than anything :)
My heated steering wheel the wife likes, way too hot for me, I'll never use that feature...

2015 Overland. Just picked the vehicle up a month ago and one day ago the entire HVAC system would not work. There was no fan speed whatsoever in auto mode or manual mode. The next day the system worked perfect again. Will probably bring in to have them look at it and check the software update.

Mine just started doing the same thing on Auto. Not blowing through the vents, just the floor I think. I hear the blower but don't feel anything.
Going to the dealer in the morning again for my fuel door that is screwed up, so I'll add this to the list. They just need to do an update I guess ?
