Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

I wonder if it was just needed to assembly or something, maybe something to hold onto while it is being positioned.

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

Thank you sooooo much everyone. (esp. MajorTom and lexa)
Just removed the annoying bracket on my Overland. Thank goodness, no more buzzing!
My bracket was on super tight. It took quite an effort to get it loosened. Once loosened, it came out easily.

My Jeep finally feels like a new Jeep.

Great pursuit MajorTom, nothing makes you feel like you are driving a POS than a batch of rattles. I agree in not wanting a dealer to touch the vehicle, I'd rather use my own care in disassembly of parts to hunt a rattle down than let them grip and rip. Good that you have a respectable service department.

If you take it to the dealer just have them pull up the STAR Number and they should be able to do it in 30 minutes or less.
Did they put the bolt back in? Does not look like it served any other purpose, but was just checking. Thanks again for the info.

They did put it back. Like you said it really isn't doing anything except plugging the bolt hole.

Thanks. I just put it back in too. Not sure why, but it's there if it is ever needed.

Wow, that's amazing. Kudos to the tech/person that figured this out. Glad we have forums for stuff like this.

Dealers should remove them from all cars as they come in and use them as the exclusive ornament for their Xmas trees this year.
